  • 23. PAY PERIODS There will be a 2-3 week delay between when you start and when you are paid. Usually companies have ‘pay periods’. For example, from May 1st to May 15th. That is one pay period. Once that pay period is over, the company sends the numbers to an accounting firm. They process payment ,and cheques for May 1st to May 15th are issued on May 21st. You may need to submit invoices and timesheets – Make sure you verify this on your first day of work.
