The expression moral courage has first been verified in 1835 in France: Courage of the
single person to judge for him/herself, later (Le Gall 1898) as „courage civique“: courage
civic.

If somebody defends, for example, sb. who is being assaulted on the road without thinking of the
consequences not even that he/she herself could in the end be considered a criminal by the police!
6. Gibt es heute noch Zivilcourage?
C’è ancora, oggigiorno, il coraggio civile?
Does moral courage still exist nowadays?

crudeli.
Yes, but always less! If in the past a person defended another person because of attempted assault
for a bag, one risked maybe a row but nowadays these thieves have become much more cruel and
one may even risk one’s own life.
8. ES IST AUCH WAR, DASS VIELE MENSCHEN IHR LEBEN FÜR
GEFAEHRLICHE HALSBRECHERISCHE SPORTLICHE AKTIVITAETEN
RISKIEREN!
MA E’ ANCHE VERO CHE CI SONO TANTE PERSONE CHE RISCHIANO
LE LORO VITE PER ATTIVITA’ SPORTIVE TEMERARIE!
IT IS, HOWEVER, ALSO TRUE THAT MANY PEOPLE RISK THEIR LIVES
FOR BOLD SPORTS ACTIVITIES!

13. What’s Your Message?POWERPOINT 2014
Hoffnung gibt.
Coraggio civile c’è allora, quando
alziamo la testa senza pensare alle
conseguenze proprie dando così
speranza a tutti.
Moral courage is, therefore, when we raise our head without thinking about the
Consequences giving in this way hope to everybody!
