You’re A King;
PASTOR
CHRIS
Say The Word!
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we
shall reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10).
J esus said in Matthew 18:18 “Whatsoever ye shall
bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Here, Jesus didn’t mean that as you bind something on
earth, God does the same thing in heaven. No. He meant
that when you bind something on earth, you’re making a
decree, and that decree is upheld by God in heaven.
God has made us kings, (Revelation 5:10), and the
Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:4, “Where the word of a king
is, there is power.” As God’s words carry and transmit
power, your words also have in them creative ability to
produce for you a harvest of what you say. Sadly, not
many Christians have operated in this power; some have
only been used to religious Christianity, where they beg
God for everything.
You’re a king, and kings don’t beg; they make decrees.
Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall
be established unto thee….” The reason you can make
decrees or issue commands and have them established
unto you is because you’re acting on the Word; you’re
taking your place as God’s king-priests, ordained to reign
in the earth.
Quit crying or begging God to do something about
your situation; decree the Word of God concerning that
9. matter and effect a change. Take advantage of your office
today; live as the king that you are; issue decrees and see
them come to pass.
Confession
I declare right now by the power of God’s Spirit that
I’m reigning in life—in my health, finances, job, and
in every area of my life. The glory of God is
manifested in me and I walk in the victory and
dominion of Christ today. I manifest success, glory
and excellence, by the power of God’s Spirit.

Educate Your Spirit
PASTOR With The Word
CHRIS
Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable
in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for
the future (1 Timothy 4:8 GNB).
T he most successful people in the world do very
little thinking, yet achieve so much. This may come
to you as a surprise but it’s the truth. They have learnt to
look to their spirits for answers. To be very successful you
have to train your spirit. As a new creation in Christ Jesus,
your spirit can be an accurate guide because that’s where
the light of God is: “The spirit of man is the candle of the
Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly” (Proverbs
20:27).
Your spirit can receive light from God; ideas and
thoughts that’ll make you creative and excellent in all you
do, such that you’ll hardly find yourself in trial-and-error
situations. But for your spirit to be an accurate guide, you
have to educate him. This kind of education is different
from what you get from school. School education only
helps to get your mind enlightened, but won’t suffice for
you to be the best in life. That’s because the highest potential
of the human nature isn’t in the mind but in the spirit.
So begin the exercise of educating your spirit with
the Word. Do this by studying and meditating on the Word
consistently. Spend quality time to listen to God’s Word
regularly! That way, you develop your spirit for success
and excellence. God’s plan is for you to have your spirit
educated so He can relate with you at a high level.
11. Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of your Word
to my spirit today. The entrance of your Word into
my spirit grants me the light by which I function in
the high levels of glory! As I study and contemplate
your Word today, my spirit-man is illuminated to
become a sure guide. Therefore, I know I won’t walk
in confusion, for I have in me the light of life.

Rejoice In His
PASTOR
Unfailing Love!
ANITA
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and
God in him (1John 4:16).
T he Master’s parable of the prodigal son in Luke
15:11-32 reveals the Father’s unconditional and
unfailing love. In that story, after the prodigal son had spent
all his father gave him on riotous living, the Bible records
that he later scrambled for food with swine. One day, he
suddenly came to himself and decided to go back to his
father (Luke 15:17-18).
As soon as his father saw him from afar, he rushed
out to embrace him. The first thing he told his father was,
“Forgive me,” and his father did! This describes the love
nature of our heavenly Father towards us. Once you repent
and say, “Father, forgive me for what I did wrong,” He is
quick to forgive because it’s His nature to do so. The young
man’s father killed his “fatted calf” to celebrate his lost
son’s return; an action that paralleled God’s sacrifice of
His only Son, Jesus, for our salvation.
When a believer who has strayed from the truth
returns to God, He receives him gladly and establishes
him in the right path. The believer will not be anything less
in God’s hand; God would place him in his rightful place—
an heir of the kingdom. This is why as a child of God, you
should take advantage of the Father’s love; rejoice daily in
His love, for He loves you unconditionally.
13. Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your great love;
thank you for your kindness and your mercies
toward me; They are from everlasting to everlasting.
I rejoice exceedingly today, knowing that your love
for me is unending and perfect. I will today manifest
your love to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Have The
PASTOR Faith Of God!
CHRIS
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God
(Mark 11:22).
W hen Jesus said in Mark 11:22 “Have faith in
God,” the literal connotation of the expression
is: “Have the faith of God,” or “Have the God-kind of faith;
the supernatural faith that God applies. This implies that
you can apply the same principles as God did throughout
the scriptures and be guaranteed the same results.
For example, when God told Abraham, “I have made
thee a father of many nations” (Romans 4:17), he was about
a hundred years old at the time, and Sarah his wife, who
was already ninety years old, apart from being barren
had also reached menopause. Hence it wasn’t naturally
possible for them to bear children. Yet, God told Abraham,
“a father of many nations have I made thee” (Genesis 17:5),
and called Sarah “mother of nations” (Genesis 17:16).
This was the faith of God in operation; it calls things
that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). And true
to God’s Word, the Bible says “…Sarah conceived, and
bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which
God had spoken to him” (Genesis 21:2).
You’ve been called to operate the God-kind of faith.
You too can call things that be not as though they were!
Through your faith-proclamations you can call forth your
desires and bring into existence your favourable
expectations, based on the Word of God.
15. Remember, as He is, so are we in this world (1John
4:17); we can function like God; we can emulate His faith
and have His kind of results.
Confession
I know who I am. As Jesus is, so am I in this world. I
function by the same principles of faith by which my
heavenly Father made the heavens and the earth!
Today, by my confessions of faith, I’m framing my
world and causing the circumstances of my life to
be in sync with God’s perfect will for me. Glory to
God!

Train Yourself To
PASTOR Recognize God’s Voice
CHRIS
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
(John 10:27).
T here’re those who don’t believe God still talks
to people today like He did in Bible days. So when
they hear someone say, “God talked to me,” it beats their
imagination. “Will God leave all the busy things He has to
do, running all the planetary systems and so on, to talk to
you?” they wonder. Well, the truth is God loves to talk to
His children. He’s a master communicator who thinks
you’re important enough for Him to talk to.
If you’ve never heard Him, maybe you’ve not been
listening. It’s also possible that God could have been talking
to you and you didn’t know it was Him. Remember the
story of the little boy, Samuel. God called him three times,
but he thought it was Eli the priest (1 Samuel 3:4-10). Why?
Because you see, when God talks, He talks with the voice
of a man, and a lot of times, He uses a familiar voice.
When Jesus spoke out of heaven to Saul of Tarsus
(who later became Paul), He called him by name and said
“Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he (Saul) said,
Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom
thou persecutest...” (Acts 9:4-5). Jesus had a dialogue with
Paul in the Hebrew tongue (Acts 26:14), a language that
Paul understood.
17. God still talks to us today; in fact, He does every day!
He can talk to you in a familiar voice, and in a language
you understand. Start training yourself to recognize His
voice. The more you study and familiarize yourself with
God’s Word, the easier it is for you to recognize and
respond when He speaks to you.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the special relationship
of love I share with you. Thank you because your
voice is always with me to guide and direct me in all
the affairs of life. As I spend time in fellowship with
you today, I become sensitive to your will and purpose
for my life, in Jesus’ Name.

Practice Real Love!
PASTOR
ANITA
But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need,
and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth
the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word,
neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth
(1 John 3:17-18).
I f you’re born again, it’s compulsory that you walk
in love, and that love must transcend your mere
talking about love into positive action towards others. The
latter part of our opening scripture in the Message
Translation says “...My dear children, let’s not just talk about
love; let’s practise real love.”
Practising real love means loving your brothers and
sisters in the Lord, as Christ has loved you: “he that loveth
not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God
whom he hath not seen?” (1 John 4:20). So, you actually
prove your love for God and towards Him in the way you
show love to others, especially fellow believers. If you don’t
actively love those for whom Jesus died, then you really
don’t love God.
Learn to help and give to others; genuinely care for
others. Go the extra mile today to assist someone else.
Never allow selfishness or self-centredness any place in
your heart. Always, at the slightest opportunity, do good
to others. Remember that every little act of love or kindness
you show to a fellow believer has great reward, for you’re
actually doing it unto the Lord (Matthew 25:34-45).
No wonder the Apostle John declared in 1 John 3:16:
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down
his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the
19. brethren” (1 John 3:16). This means we ought to love others
selflessly and unconditionally as Christ has loved us.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for your love that’s deposited
in my heart by the Holy Spirit! That love radiates
through me. Therefore, everyone I meet or relate
with today will be blessed with your divine love as I
consciously demonstrate it to them through my
words and actions, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Respond
PASTOR With Your Spirit
CHRIS
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10).
W henever you meditate on the Word of God,
though it goes through your mind, which is
the doorway to your spirit, its actual destination is your
spirit. That’s why you must live from your spirit. Your head
can’t grasp the Word of faith, for God’s Word is food for
the human spirit. Your response to the Word must be from
your spirit.
Hebrews 10:38 says, “Now the just shall live by faith....”
Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of
God. If you don’t meditate on the Word, you really can’t
have faith, and without faith, the challenges of life will
overwhelm you. But God’s Word in your heart, energizes
your spirit to know that anything is possible!
For example, when a sick person reads 1 Peter 2:24
that says “…by whose stripes ye were healed,” he ought to
immediately respond from his spirit by rejoicing and
declaring, “Praise God, I’ve been healed!” Though he may
still feel pains or certain symptoms in his body, it makes
no difference to the truth of God’s Word! Those symptoms
are lying vanities that are subject to change.
Learn to respond to the Word of God with your spirit.
The response from your spirit to the Word will determine
what you see in the physical realm. Your present
circumstance or situation may be contrary to what the
Word says, but don’t cower! Keep the Word in your heart
21. and in your mouth. Keep rejoicing and celebrating your
victory, irrespective of natural circumstances, and your
faith will prevail.
Confession
I live by faith and not by sensory perception, for what
I see with my optical eyes are temporary and subject
to change. I respond to the Word with my spirit,
knowing that true faith is of the spirit! I rule, reign
and dominate from within, for I have learnt to live
from my spirit. Hallelujah!

Key Word For The Week: “PRICE”
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your
body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians
6:20).
"Price" is the value placed on, or paid for an item. It is
the consideration offered or paid for something of
value. The higher the price paid on an item, the greater
the value and esteem placed on that item. So price tells
the worth of something. God paid something of
immense value—the highest price—the sacrifice of His
Son Jesus Christ for our salvation. Since price reveals
worth, it therefore means our worth to the Father is
the blood of Jesus Christ, revealing that we're as
valuable to God as Jesus is.

Be Specific In Your
PASTOR Requests!
CHRIS
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For
verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt
in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:22-23).
S ome Christians pray and say, “O Lord, I just want
you to bless me,” without being specific as to
exactly what blessing they’re asking the Lord for. God
desires to answer your prayers, but He also wants you to
know when He does, which is why you must be specific
when making requests in prayer.
Jesus, in Mark 11:23, said, “If thou shalt say unto this
mountain…” not just a mountain, emphasizing that there
ought to be some specificity. He also demonstrated this
when He raised Lazarus from the dead after he had been
buried for four days (John 11:39)! He called him by name
and said, “Lazarus, come forth!” He said exactly what He
wanted, and that was what He got.
So, in making requests in prayer, be specific; be exact;
believe that you shall have whatever you say. Let your
desire be clear, and then when you pray, believe that your
request has been granted. Mark 11:12-14 explains the
reason for Jesus’ words in Mark 11:23 (MSG): “as they
left Bethany the next day, he was hungry. Off in the distance
he saw a fig tree in full leaf. He came up to it expecting to
find something for breakfast, but found nothing but fig leaves.
(It wasn’t yet the season for figs.) He addressed the tree:
“No one is going to eat fruit from you again—ever!”
25. Did you notice that? Jesus addressed the tree! He
precisely and clearly expressed His faith. You too can do
the same. You can act on God’s Word in simplicity and
faith and expect results. When you strongly desire a
change, be specific as to what you want, and clearly make
your request known to the Father. Having done that, believe
in your heart that your desire has been granted and then
act accordingly.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the
opportunity to learn your Word today. As I speak forth
specific words of faith by the power of the Holy Spirit,
concerning the changes that I desire in my life, I
thank you, because those changes are effected, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen!

You Have The Ability
PASTOR
ANITA
To Do Right!
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made
us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage
(Galatians 5:1).
T he Christian has been called into liberty, to live
righteously for the Lord. The divine ability to live
right and please God naturally was imparted to your spirit
when you were born again. That’s Christianity. A Christian
doesn’t struggle to do right. Righteousness, which is the
nature of God in your spirit, is a force in you that produces
the ability to live right.
Some have never really understood the doctrine of
righteousness as revealed in God’s Word, hence the reason
they still struggle with sin. Righteousness is more than doing
what is right. Righteousness is a nature that gives you the
ability to do right. It’s a divine element that causes you to
act, talk and live right.
The Christian is not in bondage or under servitude to
sin or the devil. You can never be in bondage to sin, satan
or any bad habit when you understand who you are in
Christ. Hebrews 12:1 says “…lay aside every weight, and
the sin which doth so easily beset us….” This means you
can decide you’re not going to do something that’s wrong
and stand your ground, for you have the ability to do right.
Make up your mind today to stand fast in the liberty of
Christ.
27. Confession
The nature of God in me is righteousness; therefore
I don’t struggle to do right because righteousness
gives me the ability to do right. I’m at liberty to serve
God with my whole heart and do only those things
which are pleasing to Him. Amen.

Cut It Out
PASTOR With The Word!
CHRIS
And take...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
(Ephesians 6:17).
S ome years ago, I noticed a small growth in my
body, but instead of voicing concern about it, I
addressed it and said, “I cut you out of my body in the
Name of Jesus!” I said everything I knew to say from God’s
Word to it, but it was still there and it felt the same.
However, I had learnt a long time ago that the Word
of God is more real than the world in which we live. I kept
saying the same things until a whole week passed. It looked
and felt like the growth was still there. But then, every time
I felt it, I addressed it differently and said, “I’ve cut you
out; you’re gone!” Two weeks passed and I had somehow
forgotten all about it. Then one morning, while I was in the
bathroom, the growth just dropped to the floor. I looked
at it and picked it up; I had cut it out of my body, with the
Word!
You may wonder, “How in the world did that
happen?” Well, it’s very simple. The Greek word for
“mouth” is “stoma,” which means “the front or edge of a
weapon.” So when you confess God’s Word, in the realm
of the Spirit, you’re literally cutting the devil down with a
sword! That’s because “the word of God is quick, and
powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the
29. joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
When you take up the sword of the Spirit, which is
the Word of God, you can cut any growth or disease out
of your body. There’s no surgeon’s scalpel that can work
as effectively and precisely as the sword of the Spirit. So
put the Word in your mouth today and use it to cut out
anything you don’t want in your body or in your life.
Confession
My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, therefore,
no sickness, disease or infirmity can lodge in it. I cut
out any disease-germ or growth that tries to attach
itself to my body, in the Name of Jesus, and I
continually glorify God in my spirit and my body as I
walk in divine health today. Amen.

Weight
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a
cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin
which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).
I f you’re going to successfully run the race that is
set before you as a child of God, you have to lay
aside every weight. You have to lay aside every
encumbrance, hindrance, burden and impediment, and
run the race of life with patience, looking unto Jesus the
author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).
Weight in this context is that trait or character that’s
not of God that can limit you from attaining to your God-
given potentials. Pride for instance is one of such weights.
The Bible says God resists the proud, but gives more grace
to the humble (James 4:6). Talking about Jesus, the Bible
says “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death
of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name”
(Philippians 2:8-9)! Jesus humbled Himself to the point of
death, even the shameful death on the cross, that He might
reconcile men unto God. He ran His race and won.
You too can win your race by laying aside pride and
every other trait or attitude that’s not of God, because
such things frustrate the grace of God upon your life. This
is the reason you ought to give more attention to learning
the Word of God. God’s Word will transform you by
renewing your mind (Romans 12:2); it will help you lay
31. aside every weight and wash away whatever isn’t of God
from your life (Ephesians 5:26).
Confession
Dear heavenly Father, thank you, for your Word is
working and producing results in me today! I declare
that I’m running the race you’ve set before me with
patience, eschewing and laying aside pride, jealousy
and every encumbrance, trait or character that could

All Things Are Yours!
PASTOR

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or
death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye
are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s (1 Corinthians 3:21-23).
G od didn’t create you to suffer and struggle
through life. Some people suffer and settle for
the lesser things in life too quickly. Some have thought it
wrong to live well and look good. They have the notion
that it’s better to live in poverty and go to heaven. Living in
poverty, sickness and defeat has nothing to do with going
to heaven; in fact, that’s inconsistent with the Gospel.
However, living in health, dominion, and in God’s provision
is the fulfilment of the Gospel.
God didn’t plan a miserable life for you. His Word,
apart from showing you His will for your life, also reveals
your inheritance in Christ. 2 Corinthians 8:9 declares, “For
ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he
was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through
his poverty might be rich.” Jesus became poor that we might
become rich. So all you’ve got to do to enjoy the life of
prosperity He’s brought you into is to live in His Word!
In Isaiah 1:19, God said, “if ye be willing and obedient,
ye shalt eat of the good of the land:” The Living Bible puts
it this way: “if you will only let me help you, if you will only
obey, I will make you rich.” Your submission to God’s
Word as final authority in your life is the key to living in
your inheritance in Christ and enjoying life to the full. That’s
what empowers angels to act on your behalf and commit
33. riches to you. God has already bestowed all the treasures
of heaven on you. He’s given you all things to enjoy, not
in the sweet by-and-by, but TODAY!
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the rich and
beautiful life you’ve brought me into in Christ. I thank
you for bringing me into my place of inheritance in
Christ Jesus, where you’ve made all things available
to me to freely enjoy, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Confessing The
PASTOR
CHRIS
Lordship Of Jesus
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).
T he opening scripture reveals the fundamental
requirement to receive salvation. Anyone desirous
of salvation must believe that God raised Jesus from the
dead, and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over his or her
life. No one can be born again by merely wishing to be.
The reason for this is simple: Jesus consciously did
something to become our Saviour and Lord. He fulfilled
the righteous demands of justice that consummated
salvation for all mankind.
Hence, to be born again, you have to consciously
confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life; that’s the
principle that guarantees salvation. You’ll have to say: “I
believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead; I
confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life.”
That confession is key to salvation.
It doesn’t matter that you’re the ‘nicest’ person
around. You can’t trust in your good deeds to save you.
The words of Jesus in John 3:7 when he said “ye must be
born again,” is not a cliché or a suggestion; niceness and
good deeds don’t save. There’s a definite act required for
salvation; you’ve got to “receive” (Greek: lambano) or
“take hold of” the eternal life that Christ has brought.
Christ already made salvation available to everyone;
it’s your responsibility to reach out and receive your
35. salvation. How? By confessing His Lordship! So you see,
the key is in your mouth! No wonder the Bible says, “...The
word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that
is, the word of faith, which we preach” (Romans 10:8).
If you're not yet born again, you can do so right away
by praying this prayer: "Lord Jesus, I ask that you come
into my heart and be the Lord of my life from this day
forward. I confess with my mouth that you are Lord of my
life, and believe in my heart that God raised you from the
dead; therefore I declare that I am saved.”
Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for your great love towards
me and the demonstration of this love by sending
Jesus Christ to die in my stead. I declare with my
mouth that He’s the Lord of my life and the captain of
my soul. In Him I live and move and have my being.
Amen.

You Need Accurate
Knowledge Of God’s
PASTOR
CHRIS
Word!
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou
hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy
expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 24:14).
I t’s important to understand that the Christian life
involves a continuous growth process. There’s
always something new to learn and new improvements
to be made as you continually study and hear God’s Word.
This is why you shouldn’t think you’ve done everything
there is to do in a situation because you can only act on
the basis of the knowledge and understanding of God’s
Word you have at a particular time.
There’s a big difference between doing everything
that ought to be done in a particular situation and doing
everything you know in that situation. Sometimes, what
you know may just not be enough. God said, “My people
are destroyed for the lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6); He
makes it clear the reason some Christians suffer: they lack
accurate and adequate knowledge of how the Kingdom
of God functions. That’s where the real problem is; it’s
not because their challenges are overwhelming and defy
all solutions.
For example, if Christian parents give birth to a
handicapped child, except they understand how the
Kingdom works, they won’t know what to do. They’d fret
and go from place to place crying for help and looking for
solutions. But if they know how God’s Kingdom functions
and have a sound understanding of the Word, they’ll
37. address the situation with the Word of God and effect a
change.
Accurate knowledge of God’s Word will help you
take charge of your life and control the circumstances of
your existence, instead of being controlled by them. That’s
why I’m urging you today to go for the Word! Follow the
Word to know, and keep applying the knowledge you
receive to the circumstances of your life.
Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word; it is the truth
by which I live today and every day. The knowledge
of your Word in my spirit puts me over and gives me
the victory today! Fear, sickness, poverty, and death
have no place in me, because I live by faith in the
Word of God, which is my recipe for total success,
victory, prosperity, and divine health.

Key Word For The Week: “MIRACLE”
“And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his
miracles which he did on them that were diseased” (John
6:2).
A miracle is an extraordinary event manifesting a
supernatural act or divine intervention of God in human
affairs. It's a divine orchestration that defies
conventional or natural sequence. In other words, it
doesn't consider the natural order or arrangement of
things in the natural world. Other words often used to
describe a miracle are "wonders" or "signs" and these
two words are akin to the Greek word "semeion" which
describes a supernatural occurrence backed by deity.
The unique thing about miracles however is that they
have the backing of divinity and can only be explained
on the basis of God's Word.

Feed On The Word
PASTOR
ANITA
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye
may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2).
J ust as good nutrition is indispensable to proper
physical growth, God’s Word is the essential
nourishment for spiritual growth. Someone who is
malnourished wouldn’t have enough resistance when
sickness or disease attacks his body. It’s the same
spiritually. When a Christian neglects God’s Word, He’ll
be susceptible to attacks from the devil and subject to the
elements and circumstances of the world around him.
To grow unto maturity in Christ, you must voraciously
feed on God’s Word. The Bible says, “As newborn babes,
desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow
thereby” (1 Peter 2:2). When Paul told the Corinthian
church that he fed them with milk and “not with meat” (1
Corinthians 3:2), he wasn’t referring to physical food. He
was referring to God’s Word. Even David, in the Old
Testament understood the importance of feeding on the
Word, hence he said, “your word shall I meditate upon
day and night” (Psalm 1:2).
For the Word of God to dwell in you richly, you must
esteem and desire it more than your necessary food. This
is how to move to the next level in your Christian life;
getting more rooted and grounded in the Word. Be
unshakable and unmovable in your resolve to get the best
out of the Word. Feed your spirit with the Word today.
41. Prayer
Dear Father, my heart is opened to receive your Word
and live by it today. I refuse to be swayed by the
many contrary voices in the world; rather, I make a
deliberate choice to look away from everything else

in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You Can Face Tough
PASTOR Times And Win!
CHRIS
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand (Ephesians 6:13).
H ave you ever had a sense of foreboding of
something unpleasant, yet in your spirit, you
knew you had to face it? What do you do when you find
yourself in such a situation? We can learn from the Master.
The Lord Jesus anticipated evil. His fame spread abroad
after He raised Lazarus from the dead. Some Greeks heard
of Him and came to visit, but Jesus saw their coming as a
sign and said, “The hour is come, that the Son of man
should be glorified” (John 12:23). He then went on to show
His disciples how He was going to die, and by so doing,
bring many to righteousness (John 12:24).
He concluded by saying, “Now is my soul troubled;
and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for
this cause came I unto this hour.” Jesus was troubled within
because of the evil He anticipated, yet He knew it was
part of His destiny. The next thing He did was to go and
pray, and the Bible says, “there appeared an angel unto
him from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43).
To face tough times and win, you need strength from
within, and that strength comes when you pray.
Understand that the evil is not supposed to destroy you;
God would never allow such. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says,
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common
to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be

evil comes, you’ll be able to withstand and come out

Tame The Flesh!
PASTOR
CHRIS
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and
saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit
indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:40-41).
M any have narrated experiences of how they
tried to pray but felt so weak, they couldn’t
even utter any words. Some have also described how they
had some terrible attacks while sleeping. They felt some
evil force pressing them down and choking them, and
they tried to shout “Jesus!” but couldn’t move their mouths.
The human spirit during sleep recognized what was going
on, but was helpless to get the body to cooperate. So
even though their spirit was awake and knew what to
say,the spirit couldn’t act because the flesh had the mastery.
This is why you must learn to tame your flesh and its
senses by engaging in spiritual exercises. 1 Timothy 4:8
says, “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is
profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that
now is, and of that which is to come.” You must strengthen
and position your spirit to have the mastery over your
flesh.
There are spiritual exercises you can engage in as a
Christian that’ll help train your spirit. One of them is
memorizing scriptures. Even though the scriptures are
meant to be stored in your heart, it’s very important that
you train your mind to keep and recall them. Another
form of exercise is fasting and praying. When you fast
57. and pray, you learn to put your body under. Your body
may revolt at first, but don’t give in to it.
Remember, every time you yield to the cravings of
your flesh, you’ve lost another opportunity to bring it under
subjection to your spirit. So whenever you have an
opportunity for spiritual exercise, do it quickly and gladly.
That way, you’re taming the flesh and its senses and
bringing it under subjection to your spirit.
Prayer
My spirit is alive to God and sensitive to His leading.
I’m not a man of the senses; therefore I refuse to
yield to the cravings of the flesh. I’m from above;
therefore I seek those things which are above,
where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Hallelujah!

God’s Word Dispels
PASTOR Ignorance
ANITA
O LORD, you give me light; you dispel my darkness
(Psalm 18:28 GNB).
T o live in ignorance is to live in darkness. A man’s
area of ignorance is his area of darkness. I
remember when I was much younger; I gave my life to
Christ several times out of ignorance. Each time I
remembered all the things I did wrong during the week,
I’d feel condemned and would go to church on Sunday
to “get born-again again.”
It was a terrible situation to be in, for most of the
information I had were founded on sense-knowledge, not
the Word of God. It was until I began to study the Bible
for myself that I discovered I didn’t have to give my life to
Christ over and over again. I became a new creation the
very first time I gave my heart to Christ.
You have to study God’s Word for yourself, for only
God’s Word dispels ignorance. Jesus said in John 8:12, “I
am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not
walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” It doesn’t
matter if the darkness is in your job, business, health, or
marriage, if you would let the light of God’s Word
dominate your spirit, it will illuminate your path and give
you direction in the way of success and victory. Praise
God!

Mercy For The Lost!
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need
(Hebrews 4:16).
I ’m always stirred in my spirit when I think of this
truth: that we can obtain mercy and find grace to
help in the time of need. We’re not asked to pray or beg
God for it, but to come boldly unto the throne of grace
and obtain it. That means we can obtain mercy for the
lost. No wonder Jesus said, “…[Just] as the Father has sent
Me forth, so I am sending you… if you forgive the sins of
anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone,
they are retained” (John 20:21,23 AMP).
This means you can declare on behalf of the wayward
or wicked “In the Name of Jesus, you’re forgiven,” because
you’ve obtained mercy from the throne of grace on their
behalf. In the same vein, you can obtain mercy for a city
or nation, even one full of spiritually and morally bankrupt
people. You can pray thus: “Father, in the Name of Jesus,
I obtain mercy for them. Let the Spirit of salvation be
released upon them in the Name of Jesus!” Yes, you can
obtain mercy for the wayward, the wicked and the lost in
your city or nation; you can find grace to help in time of
need.
There’s abundant grace in God’s throne-room to help
the lost, the sick, the dying, the outcast, and the
downtrodden. Thank God, you and I have been sent to
help them. It’s time for you to take up your position as a
61. minister and intercessor and obtain mercy and find grace
to help such people in your town, city, or country. You
can take as much grace as you need for their sake. There’s
an abundance of grace and mercy flowing from the throne-
room of God; take it and spread it around!
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the abundance of grace
and mercy that’s flowing from your throne room! I
receive right now, the grace for salvation of souls
for the lost in my neighbourhood, city and nation.
May the veil be taken off their minds for the light of
the glorious gospel of Christ to shine through,

Illumination
PASTOR By The Word!
CHRIS
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding
unto the simple (Psalm 119: 130).
T he Amplified Bible highlights this scripture even
better; it says, “The entrance {and} unfolding of
Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding
(discernment and comprehension) to the simple.” Put simply,
God’s Word has the ability to bring illumination to your
spirit and give you insight into reality.
The scripture doesn’t say God’s Word gives light;
rather, “the entrance” of God’s Word gives light. So it’s
not enough to have the Word in the pages of the Bible; it
has to gain entrance into your spirit. When it enters your
spirit, you receive light and understanding! Suddenly, you’d
begin to see things the way God sees them.
God’s Word is the true light (John 1:9) that reveals
the truth regarding all things. It reveals who you really are,
what you can do, and your inheritance in Christ. When
you allow the Word illuminate your spirit, negative
circumstances around you are dispelled, while God’s glory
and abundant provisions become real to you.
Let God’s Word be the light by which you see all
things. Let it guide you in all your affairs—in your marriage,
ministry, academics, business, finances and every area of
your life. Refuse to walk in the dark, or live by the lesser
light; rather, receive illumination by the Word!
63. Confession
I walk day after day by the light of God’s Word. I’m
not moved by the natural circumstances that exist
in the world. God’s Word is the light by which I operate

Personalize The Word!
PASTOR
ANITA
So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of
wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and
welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts]
contains the power to save your souls (James 1:21 AMP).
T here’re people who in church, never think the
message being preached is addressed to them.
They always feel the pastor is referring to someone else,
especially if he’s correcting something negative. Imagine
two ladies, Susan and Mary, had a row before coming to
church. While in church, it happens that the pastor’s
message is on love. Susan suddenly feels justified and starts
casting conceited glances at Mary, hoping Mary is hearing.
That’s a wrong approach to the Word of God by
Susan. The message came for both of them, but Susan
missed the blessing because she didn’t personalize the
Word. She kept thinking it wasn’t she but Mary who needed
to hear what the pastor had to say. Whenever you’re in
church and God’s Word is coming to you, always
personalize the Word and receive it for yourself. Don’t sit
there wishing the brother owing you money is listening to
what the pastor is saying about debts; receive the Word
for yourself.
Some people only pay attention when they like the
topic being preached. But once the pastor begins to correct
their wrong actions through the Word, they shut
themselves out. The Bible says “Every Scripture is God-
breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for
instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction
65. of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in
righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in
thought, purpose, and action)” (2 Timothy 3:16 AMP).”
In other words, whether the preacher is sharing God’s
Word on prosperity or correcting you through the Word,
you have to take it as God’s Word for you for that moment.
Always personalize the Word for your progress and
blessings.

Key Word For The Week: “SUBSTANCE”
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).
"Substance" refers to the essence, core or the choicest
or most essential or most vital part of something, an
idea or experience. It's the real or tangible matter of
which something consists or is made of. In Hebrews
11:1 above, it means the concrete essence, assurance,
confidence, concrete evidence, or title-deed.
So, faith being the "substance" of things hoped for means
faith is the concrete essence, the confident assurance,
the title-deed or concrete evidence that what we hope
for, or favourably expect shall come to pass. It is the
proof of the existence of something; it connotes the
actual evidence which establishes the existence of what
we hoped for. "Substance" in most cases is not seen
with the optical eyes but the proof of its existence is
real and indubitable (Hebrews 11:3). This means that
faith could be described as the proof, essence, assurance
or confidence of that which we favourably expect, even
though that thing may not be optically visible.

Be Polite!
PASTOR
CHRIS
Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome),
seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a
loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a
question to you] (Colossians 4:6 AMP).
B eing polite is not a sign of weakness in your
character, but something that reveals the
excellence of God in you. In James 3:13-14, the Bible says,
“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among
you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works
with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and
strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.”
When you use the right words to address others, you’re
actually displaying the wisdom of God that’s in you. But
bitterness in the heart of man will produce harsh words
and abusive communication.
Let your words reflect the presence of the Spirit of
God that lives in you. Colossians 4:6 says, “Be gracious in
your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a
conversation, not put them down, not cut them out” (MSG).
Let your words uplift, encourage, inspire, soothe and build.
Don’t allow communication that could inflict pain or stir
strife and discord proceed from your lips.
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:24, “And the servant of
the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to
teach, patient.” See others with the eyes of God and
address them that way. Be humble in your communication
(James 4:6). Don’t use insulting words to address people
and don’t raise your voice against them. Live the higher
69. life of good communication and you’ll see the hand of
God move on your behalf.
Confession
My life is for the glory of God. As I meditate on the
Word of God today, my mind is renewed causing me
to think the right thoughts and say the right words. I
know what to say, and I know when to say what I

minister grace to their hearts.

Effective!
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man;
and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian
(Genesis 39:2).
J oseph was described as “a prosperous man”
despite being a slave in Potiphar’s house. This shows
that prosperity isn’t a function of your career or
assignment, but a product of your spirit. In our opening
verse, the word “prosperous” is translated from the Greek
word “Tsalach,” which means to be prosperous and
effective. Thus, not only was Joseph prosperous, he was
also effective. Even though he had been sold into slavery,
falsely accused and imprisoned, his ordeal didn’t taint the
quality of his spirit. He recognized that the Lord was with
him, and so exuded the spirit of a prosperous man.
The Bible says in Romans 15:4, “For whatsoever things
were written aforetime were written for our learning, that
we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might
have hope.” This implies that the story of Joseph was
written for our learning. So, can it be said of you that you’re
prosperous and effective in the things you do?
Today, the same Lord that was with Joseph is with
you and lives in you in the Person of the Holy Spirit (1
Corinthians 3:16). Talking about Him, Jesus said, “…he
(the Holy Spirit) shall teach you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance…” (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit living
in you will teach you how to be more effective in the things
71. God has called you to do, if only you’d acknowledge His
indwelling and abiding presence in your life.
Prayer
Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, thank
you for you’re the One at work in me, both to will and
to do of your good pleasure. Thank you for blessing
my life and making me a blessing to my world. You’ve
made me prosperous and effective in whatever I lay
my hands to do, in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them
out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and
delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:19-20).
S omeone says “I’ve been praying to God to help
me out of my situation, but nothing has changed!”
Well, it’s your responsibility, not God’s to effect a change
in that situation by proclaiming the Word of faith. God’s
responsibility is to send you His Word; His Word is the
ingredient you require for change. The Bible says in Psalm
107:20, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered
them from their destructions.”
God saves, heals, transforms and delivers through His
Word. His Word is dependable, and you can apply it to
every circumstance of life. No matter how terrible your
condition may look, God’s Word can work for you and
bring about the change you need. Even if you wanted
things to go from good to better or better to best, God’s
Word can still work for you. The Bible says, “For the word
that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active,
operative, energizing and effective]…” (Hebrews 4:12 AMP).
That means God’s Word has the inherent power to
cause the required change in your circumstance. When
you receive the Word into your spirit, it produces in your
life what it talks about. For example, if you receive God’s
Word on healing and act on it, it’ll produce healing in
you; in the same way, your finances will be improved
when you act on God’s Word concerning your finances.
73. Never become scared or discouraged by the
enormity of any challenge. Don’t surrender to a life of
fear, failure or complaints. Rather, devote quality time to
studying God’s Word, especially in the area where you
require a change. But don’t stop there; meditate on the
Word and speak faith-filled words and everything about
you will catapult to excellence.
Confession
I’m undaunted by challenges, for I’m confident in the
ability of God’s Word to cause the change I desire.
My heart is opened to receive from God, and I’m quick
to act on His Word. Today, I surmount every difficulty,
and I prosper in everything I do because I function by
His Word.

Change The Old Order!
PASTOR
CHRIS
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things
of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;
shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness,
and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18-19).
F rom time to time, it’s important to review the way
things have been going with you and determine
the areas in which you’ve got to do things differently. You
can’t do the same things you’ve been doing, in the same
ways you’ve been doing them and expect different results.
Even God at some point, said “I will do a new thing”
(Isaiah 43:19). He gave the Israelites strict laws to follow,
which they couldn’t. He thundered at Mount Sinai and
they ran away from Him in fear! Finally, He changed the
order, and won us over with love: “For God so loved the
world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”
(John 3:16).
So, get this straight today, if you want something
different from what you’re experiencing now, you’ve got
to take some radical steps and do things differently. You’ve
got to change the old way of thinking and employ new
ideas. Perhaps at work you’ve been noted as being the
tardy employee, and now you’re expecting to have sterling
recommendations and promotions from your bosses. First,
you’d have to change the old order. Start practising getting
to work early; learn to sit down and finish your work in
time, and be excellent at your job.
75. Or maybe you don’t pray and study your Bible
regularly as you should, yet you’re expecting to come out
victoriously in life—that won’t happen, until you change
things.
Right now, list out those areas where you need to
make a change, and consciously write out the new steps
you’re going to take to effect the change you desire, and
then go for it! Don’t leave those things merely on paper;
make them part of your personal development project
and before long, your situation would have changed for
the best.
Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that you help me identify those
areas where I must make definite changes, so I might
chart a new course of success for my life. I commit
myself to diligently following through with the
decisions and plans you inspire me to make today,
in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rule Your World!
PASTOR
CHRIS
And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of
Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David
also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith
subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises,
stopped the mouths of lions (Hebrews 11:32-33).
A s Christians, we ought to apply our faith in God’s
Word to deal with situations and challenges. In
the faith’s hall of fame, the Bible talks about certain men
and women who through their faith performed great feats
for the Kingdom of God (Hebrews 11:32-33). These
apostles of faith subdued kingdoms and did supernatural
things in their time; they ruled their world!
The Bible talked about how they wrought
righteousness; meaning when others conformed to error,
they stood their grounds for the truth and prevailed. They
were as the children of Issachar who the Bible says had an
understanding of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32).
By your faith, you too can do great things in your
world today. You can work righteousness and breathe life
back into situations that were hitherto dead. Through your
faith, you can revive that business that’s been grounded!
You can perform so well in your business or career that
the world will marvel at you. Faith is your currency; rule
your world with it.
77. Confession
I’m backed by God to rule and dominate my world
with His Word. The Word of faith is in my heart and
my mouth; as I speak it forth, it produces the desired
result. I’m obtaining promises, producing
righteousness everywhere I go and effecting great
changes by the Word of God through faith. Through
faith, I’ve overcome the world. Hallelujah!

Love Like God
PASTOR
ANITA
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be
strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and
grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what
is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know
the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled
with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:14-19).
T he scripture above is a beautiful prayer by the
apostle Paul for the Body of Christ. In it, he lets us
know that with the knowledge of the love of Christ, we
will be filled with all the fullness of God. When the love of
Christ is working in you, you’ll love every single person
that comes across your path no matter how seemingly
worthless, insignificant or unloveable he may be.
When the Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved
the world that he gave his only begotten Son…” it wasn’t
referring to the world of buildings, cars, machines,
vegetation, oceans and mountains, but the world of people.
That means He loves every single person in the world.
We also ought to love everyone without discrimination,
for the love of Christ doesn’t exclude anyone.
You have the capacity to love like God. The Bible says,
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith
he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”
(Ephesians 2:4-5). God loved us while we were yet sinners.
79. Therefore, let your love for the people for whom Christ
died be intense, and let it also motivate you to soul winning.
Today, let your heart beat with love for those around
you who are yet to know the Lord. Let Christ’s love in you
compel you to preach the gospel to them and turn them
from darkness to light and from the power of satan unto
God.
Confession
I am a child of God, created in His very image of love.
I have the ability to love like my heavenly Father who
gave up Jesus to die for my sake. The love of Christ
has taken a hold of me and I’m manifesting this love,
thereby reaching out to my world with love.
Hallelujah.

Don’t Ignore The Spirit!
PASTOR
CHRIS
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his
presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they
rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be
their enemy, and he fought against them (Isaiah 63:9-10).
T he indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in our
lives is one of the greatest blessings we have as
Christians. He is our advantage and the secret to a glorious
and successful life. Thus you must recognize and take
advantage of His ministry in your life. Some Christians
ignore the ministry of the Holy Spirit, hence their lives are
out of joint; full of ups and downs.
It’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and lead
you in all affairs of life; it’s His ministry to grant you the
wisdom and counsel you need to win every day in life.
Consciously acknowledge His presence with you and in
you, and learn to yield to Him always. Never ignore His
counsel. The Bible says in Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears
shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk
ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to
the left.”
Whose voice do you think that is? It’s the voice of the
Holy Spirit. He speaks to us daily on life’s issues through
God’s Word, but many ignore His counsel because His
voice is never strong and harsh against us. It matters that
in whatever you do, you honour the presence of the Holy
Spirit in your life. Don’t wound His tender compassion
by consistently rejecting His counsel.
81. Perhaps you talked to someone rudely and the Holy
Spirit corrected you, be quick to heed His correction and
make the necessary amends. Otherwise, His voice that
used to be clear to you may soon become faint and distant
if you continually ignore Him. Live your life in a way that
brings honour to the Holy Spirit; appreciate His presence
in your life and you’d be glad you did.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the indwelling
and abiding presence of your precious Holy Spirit,
who is my comforter, teacher and guide. Today, as I
seek to do only those things that are honourable
and pleasing to you, my increase, progress and
prosperity is evident for all to see, in the Name of
Jesus. Amen.

week 4
Key Word For The Week: “SONS”
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is" (1
John 3:2).
The most commonly translated Greek words for son in
the New Testament are "hious" and "teknon." "Hious"
is used to refer to those who are adopted or raised to
become like the one who brings them up. Its usage in
scripture like Romans 8:14, 19, etc, connotes those that
have been raised by God to walk in divinity. Another
way to put it is that the "hious" are those who by virtue
of the right spiritual training have come to spiritual
maturity—they are the adopted sons of God.
"Teknon" on the other hand means biological offspring;
one given birth to through biological means. The
reference in the scripture above describes the Christian
as the offspring of God. This is the same context the
word is used in John 1:12-13: "But as many as received
83. him, to them gave he power to become the sons (teknon) of
God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born,
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,
but of God." Thus, in its usage, "Teknon" refers to a
child, whether male or female. It describes the spiritual
reality that the Christian is truly and vitally born of
God.

Pray For God’s People
PASTOR
CHRIS
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may
have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And
that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men:
for all men have not faith (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2).
J ohn Wesley, a great man of God, once said, “It
appears that God will do nothing except we ask
Him.” It’s no wonder that he was credited to have, through
prayer, effected remarkable changes in his day, both in his
own life and ministry and in the society at large.
In Luke 18:1, Jesus taught that men ought always to
pray and not to faint. It’s our priestly ministry as believers
to pray for our brothers and sisters all over the world, that
through them, God’s Word will be preached in the nooks
and crannies of their nations.
Paul in his epistles, admonished believers to pray for
his missionary work: “Withal praying also for us, that God
would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the
mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” (Colossians
4:3). This lets us know that we also must pray that the
Holy Spirit will grant the saints all over the world utterance
and opportunities to preach the gospel where they are. In
the scripture we just read, Paul highlighted two important
points: utterance and opportunities. You might have the
utterance and not have the opportunity to preach the
gospel, and vice versa; this is the reason we must intercede
as admonished by the Spirit through Paul in Colossians
4:3.
85. If every Christian would pray with this consciousness,
there will be a great change throughout the world. Also,
Paul said, “…that we may be delivered from unreasonable
and wicked men: for all men have not faith” (2 Thessalonians
3:2). The Greek word translated “delivered” is “rhuomai”;
it alludes to the rushing of a current or a flood. By
implication, he’s saying that God will rush to deliver—get
His people out of the clutches of wicked and unreasonable
men, who are against the preaching of the gospel.
Get concerned about what happens to Christians in
your nation and around the world, and let your concern
drive you to your knees in prayer.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making me an
intercessor, one to stand in the gap for God’s
children all over the world! I live up to this call today,
as I pray that you’ll grant utterance, boldness and
opportunity to Christians, especially in places where
the light of the gospel of Christ’s salvation is dim, to
preach your Word with mighty miracles, signs and
wonders, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Giving Increases Your

Grace For Receiving
While the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest, and cold and
heat and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease
(Genesis 8:22).
O ne of the most profound principles in the Word
of God that guarantees continuous increase in
finances is the principle of giving. Your giving is a channel
to facilitate your receiving, for there can be no receiving
without you first giving. 2 Corinthians 9:8 gives us divine
insight into what your act of giving propels: “And God is
able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing)
come to you in abundance, so that you may always and
under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-
sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support
and furnished in abundance for every good work and
charitable donation]” (AMP).
Another thing your giving does is that it helps to
establish your righteousness: “Now he that ministereth seed
to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply
your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your
righteousness…” (2 Corinthians 9:10).
Our lives as Christians should depict our heavenly
Father’s character, who gave His precious Son, Jesus, for
our salvation: “For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Make up your mind today to be a big giver like your Father,
and activate the grace for receiving in your life.
87. Confession
I am a big-time giver, and I invest wisely and rightly
as I give for the propagation of the gospel and the
expansion of God’s Kingdom. When I give, I receive
because God channels spiritual and material
blessings to me from all over the world, Hallelujah!

PASTOR
CHRIS
Labour of Love
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).
E verything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the
gospel is not only recorded (Malachi 3:16), the
Lord also rewards you for it. This brings to mind Peter’s
encounter with the Lord by the lake of Gennesaret: “And
it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to
hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen
were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And
he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and
prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land.
And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship”
(Luke 5:1-3).
Peter and his company had just returned from a
fruitless all-night fishing expedition. So his decision to oblige
the Master the use of his boat wasn’t an easy one; he had
to jettison his disappointment and exhaustion in order to
help the Master propagate His message. The Bible lets us
know that after Jesus preached to the crowd from Peter’s
boat, He asked Peter to launch out into the deep for a
great catch. Peter obeyed and caught a great multitude of
fishes such that he had to call out to his partners to help
him haul in the great catch (Luke 5:6-7). Now, he had toiled
all-night and caught nothing. But suddenly he had so much,
just because he decided to help the Master. What a miracle!
What sacrifices have you made for the sake of the
gospel? It could be your time, money, family, friends and
89. relationships you gave up, whatever it is, God hasn’t
forgotten. Your blessing isn’t deferred until you get to
heaven. It begins here on earth: “And Jesus answered and
said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left
house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife,
or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he
shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and
brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands,
with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
But many that are first shall be last; and the last first” (Mark
10:29-31).
Peter didn’t receive his harvest of fishes in heaven, he
got it on earth. Therefore, your reward isn’t far ahead; its
closer than you think, be confidently assured that He’ll
reward you in due time, for He doesn’t forget your labour
of love!
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word that
is working in my life mightily. Now I know that my
services in the Kingdom are not in vain! Therefore
with renewed vigour and commitment, I pledge
myself today for greater service in the house of God,
and passionately seek the expansion of your
Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God! I
