• Founder and CEO of the company – over 7 years of experience
managing his own home staging and real estate business,
featured on A&E Flip This House and Home Improvement
Magazine
• Twenty four years of executive business sales and marketing
experience working with such globally known franchise
companies as Popeye’s Chicken, Church’s Chicken, Hardees,
IBM, Pulte Homes, Worldspan and a host of others.
• Bachelors in Business Administration - double major in marketing
and real estate from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985.

8. SEEKING ASSOCIATES
All levels of affiliation with HDTS are 1099 Independent Contractors
and are required to successfully complete our hands on Orientation
Program. An application fee of $500 (subject to change without prior
notification) is required which covers the following items: DISC
Personality Assessment Report, a NY Times Best Selling book on
building a successful business and learn how to producing Realtor
clients think, background and credit checks, coordination of hands on
training performing six consultations, as well as sales and marketing
training. Logo polo shirts and blouses are available for purchase
through our preferred vendor for approximately $40 and personalized
name tags are available for $10. Business cards are approximately
$75. Applicants must be available for daytime working hours and
possible evenings and weekends.

9. SEEKING ASSOCIATES
• Associate: Candidates for this level include experienced residential interior
decorators, designers, those with a degree or previous experience in residential
interior design, or who hold an existing staging certification or are graduates
from the Apprentice program. The role of the Associate is to perform create their
own staging business generating and to perform labor fulfillment for HDTS on a
referral basis.
Associates are paid 35% of a billable hourly rate ($44/HR) to fulfill design
assignments originating from HDTS. The assignments that the Associates bring
in on their own efforts entitle them to 65% of the billable hourly labor rate
($81/HR). Once the Associate has reached an annual revenue cap of $2,500
(currently 31 hours of assignments he or she generates on their own annually)
the Associate retains 85% of the hourly billable rate ($106/HR).
Because of our long term history and reputation in the market, Associates
typically earn more money by joining HDTS than starting their own business
from scratch. HDTS is also a Preferred Vendor with the national furniture rental
companies who send staging referrals to HDTS to forward to its Associates.
Our program is a business opportunity and requires a commitment of time and
capital like any other successful business. A monthly budget should be
established by an Associate for business development, marketing, advertising
and fees to join professional organizations. A monthly administration support fee
of $35 is payable via credit card each month to HDTS. HDTS makes no
earnings claims.

11. Training Orientation for All Associates
The following items are to be completed within 60 days of joining HDTS and prior to
becoming an Associate. Some candidates may process through the program
faster than others depending on their comfort level with the orientation program.
Training can be paid at $25/hr. when candidates originate consultations on their
own efforts and HDTS receives its standard billing rate..

Applicant’s own vacant house consultation with Associate

19. Associate Commitment

Realtor, these clients are to be referred to Rick
Duda so that he can refer them to the HDTS
Realtor network.

times with the following items at a minimum:
•Duron, Sherwin Williams and Porter paint
wheels
•Scissors, tape, sampler of nails and
hammer
•Two types of measuring tapes
•A few design magazines
•Personal brochures, business cards, and
large post cards
