• Battlefield 3has been released on a number of consoles with EA and DICE releasing products on
all consoles form their own personal distribution platform, Origin. This means that the game

because there is no where to get it.
• The game was released for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and there was a WII U version that was
announced during the 2011 E3 conference. This means that DICE and EA can maximise profits as
the game is being sold to serious and hard-core gamers on PC and more casual gamers on
consoles who wont play the game religiously. Battlefield appeals to both classes of gamers and
has the most potential sales as it is available on all consoles and platforms

• Just cause 2 is sold on many different platforms including PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 which
means that Square Enix are a 3rd party game company that code games to as many consoles as

of consoles and the world is simply to memory intensive to run on the old consoles. This meant

for a game that was really made for the PC market at the time

• The game was intended for PC & Mac and was distributed on its own website as all of the profit
raised went to charity to try and cure cancer. If the game was sold on a distribution platform
such as steam, they will take a percentage of the earnings from each sale meaning that the game
will not be entirely for profit.
• The game is sold at £6.49 for 90 mins of the game as it is a 90 minute play through. The game
eventually came out on steam as it was a Kickstarter and is sold for £10.99 on the platform. The
IPhone version was released and is £3.99 on the app store meaning that the phone version is
much cheaper but doesn’t perform as well as the other platforms
