7. • Two-thirds of lesbian, gay and transgender
secondary school students report they have
been victims of bullying.
• Students who are bullied at school have
worse exam results and are twice as likely
to end up not in education, employment or
training at age 16.
• In 2008 the United Nations Committee on
the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) expressed
concern at the extent of bullying in schools.
