Bata is the largest retailer and leading manufacturer of
footwear in india and is a part of bata shoe organisation.
Incorporated as bata shoe Private Limited in 1931, the
company was set up initially as a small operation in
Konnagar(near Calcutta) in1932.
The company went public in 1973 when it changed its
name to bata India Limited . Today, Bata India has
established itself as india’s largest footwear retailer.
3. Background
signed agreement with AIBSMU, which
stipulated that the management would
fillup 248 vacancies in its retail outlets.

BSO restricted the entire board and sent

Bata’s Faridabad Unit.

Lockout was declared at Bata’s peenya
factory in Banglore, following a strike by
its employee union.
