3. Pre-training Activity Look at the word cloud. Take five minutes to write down a few words that you are familiar with, and then write down a few that you are not familiar with. Take five more minutes to process what you already know about free technology software and what you would like to know. Facilitator lead discussion session about what you know and what you would like know after training is over.

14. WIKIS What is a WIKI? A wiki is a website that allows the creation and editing of any number of interlinked web pages via a web browser. Wikis are typically powered by wiki software and are often used to create collaborative works.

17. Create your own wiki Take 15min to explore the wiki sites provided. Choose one wiki site that most appeals to you and create an user account.
18. BLOGS What is a blog? Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.

26. Once image is edited and mouth is added add audio using a microphone, prerecorded sound, or telephone. Edit image and audio to your liking and save, image is now ready to be presented. Invite people to see image directly to site. Embed image on another site. Convert image to video using free software.

30. ASSESSMENT Title: Mind Map Time: 60 min Grouping: Content Area Groups Activity: Participants will be grouped according to content area. Select a facilitator, a recorder, and a presenter for each group. In these groups participants will brainstorm about how each of the technologies discussed could be used in their discipline. Each content area group will choose one technology to share with the entire group that they feel will most benefit their content and why. Individually participants will create an account at www.bubbl.us to will create a mind map titled Free Online Tools. The mind map will include all of the technologies discussed in the presentation. Each participant should include a brief definition of the technology and three ways that the technology can be used in your classroom per group discussion. For each technology make sure to add username, not password, for each account created. Save concept map as jpg file and email it to renee.johnson3@waldenu.edu. Closure: Each content area will share with the group.
