2. Poland is situated in the centre of Europe. Our neighbours are Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Russia.

3. To the north of Poland there is the Baltic Sea.

4. This is the Polish flag. It’s white and red.

5. This is the Polish national emblem. It’s an eagle with a crown on its head.

6. The capital of Poland is Warsaw. It’s set in the centre of Poland

7. The Polish current president is Bronisław Komorowski

8. The longest Polish river is the Vistul a (in Polish Wisła).

9. In the south of Poland there are the Tatra Mountains with their highest peak Rysy.

10. One of the oldest and most beautiful Polish towns is Kraków. For centuries it was the capital of Poland and the seat of kings.

11. Our home town is Piotrków Trybunalski. It is located in central Poland. It isn’t big. It is eight hundred years old and it has a lot of interesting places to see, such as the Royal Castle, The Old Town and a number of beautiful churches.

12. Our school is in the centre of Piotrków and it is called Primary School No 10. Our patron is Mikołaj Rej – a famous Polish writer. Our school isn’t big. There are about 300 pupils at the age of 7 – 12.
