Nutanix said, “In Saudi Vision
2030, the government of Saudi
Arabia has outlined its intent on
developing the digital economy
in the Kingdom, as it rightly be-
lieves that a sophisticated digital
infrastructure is integral to today’s
advanced industrial activities. De-
veloping a digital economy means
that both, public as well as pri-
vate enterprises, need to embark
on digital transformation initia-
tives and in this scenario, having
a well-defined cloud computing
strategy is an imperative.”
“As a leader in hyperconverged
infrastructure, Nutanix is the op-
erating system for the cloud. Our
solutions help organizations free
themselves from the complexity
and cost of legacy IT, and embrace
the power of cloud. We believe
that with a strong partner like ISE,
having a high level of technical
expertise and extensive knowl-
edge of the local market, Nutanix
will be able to help enterprises
in Saudi embark on their hybrid
cloud journey and thus contribute
to the government’s overall vision

ital competence.”
“This relationship demonstrates
our commitment to Vision 2030
and the National Transformation
Program (NTP) by creating local
capability and job opportunities.
At present we are involved in a
number of critical national infra-
structure projects in Saudi Arabia.

Aruba announced the next milestone for its
SD-Branch solution that enables more secure,
streamlined and simplified deployment and
management of large distributed retail networks
A critical component of the company’s Edge-to-
Cloud strategy, Aruba’s SD-Branch solution in-
tegrates Aruba Branch Gateways with the Aruba
Central cloud management platform to provide a
single point of control and management for SD-
WAN, wired and wireless networking to enable
secure, simplified branch connectivity at scale.
The innovations include an expansion of Aru-
ba’s unified branch defense capabilities to pro-
vide unique, identity-based attack detection and
intrusion prevention to deliver zero trust in-store
network security. New enhancements to the SD-
WAN Orchestrator in Aruba Central to deliver
unified edge-to-cloud management and secure
connectivity to cloud workloads and new branch
gateways that provide non-stop connectivity via
built-in cellular, including LTE is also part of it.
Retail IT teams are under tremendous pressure
to drive digital transformation within brick-
and-mortar locations and “place the store at the
center of their customer experience” in order
to compete with online merchants and market-
places. To achieve this, they are leveraging next
generation technologies to enable personalized,
immersive experiences within the stores, but are
consistently challenged by the lack of on-site
technical staff at branch locations. As such, IT
staff responsible for connecting, securing and
managing retail locations must rethink the way
they architect their branch networks. A unified
edge-to-cloud architecture that automates and
secures LAN, WAN and cloud connectivity is
paramount to driving operational efficiency and
addressing the lack of IT staff.
“As we continue to grow our retail stores inter-
nationally, we are laser-focused on using tech-
nology to deliver our customers a truly unique
shopping experience,” said Stewart Ebrat, CIO
at Vera Wang. “With Aruba’s SD-Branch solu-
tion as the solid foundation for a secure, easy-
to-deploy and centrally managed infrastructure,
we will also be able to better engage with our
customers by identifying them via their mobile
phones so that store associates can help person-
alize and transform their in-store shopping ex-
perience.”

tured data will account for up to 80% of the global
data volume that will reach 163 zetabytes, ten times
more than in 2016. In order to attain insights from
this growing data set without exposing the organi-
zation to unnecessary risk, organizations must dis-
cover and classify files containing sensitive data. By
proactively flagging this information, both internal
and external users will be able to more effectively
share files across multiple platforms in accordance
with security and privacy requirements.

rity threats trying to penetrate the organizational pe-
rimeter; Zone 2, for vulnerabilities and threats that
exist inside the perimeter; and Zone 3, for attacks
taking place outside the perimeter in the larger cy-
bersphere. Segasec’s integrated solution is designed
to enhance Mimecast’s Zone 3 protection platform
by providing a comprehensive approach to digital
risk protection while also enriching its core perim-
eter defense systems for Zone 1 with intelligence
gained from analysis of threats in the wild.
Integration of Segasec with Mimecast’s email
and web security services is engineered to further
strengthen Mimecast’s customers’ cyber resilience
by enabling them to block any potentially malicious
domains quickly. The integrated solution platform
is built to allow organizations to implement a com-
prehensive cybersecurity strategy capable of dealing
with modern-day threats surrounding, inside, and
beyond the perimeter.
“Every brand is vulnerable to attacks that abuse and
threaten the trust that employees, customers, part-
ners and 3rd party vendors have placed in them,”
said Peter Bauer, chief executive officer at Mime-
cast. “Segasec will allow our customers to take a
proactive approach to identifying -- and even poten-
tially preventing -- attacks that imitate their brands
using domains they don’t own, while also offering
the visibility required to understand how their brands
are being misused for malicious intent. Additionally,
Segasec’s solutions strongly complement our recent
acquisition of DMARC Analyzer, which simplifies
the process of protecting against abuse of domains
customers do own and continues to strengthen our
Email Security 3.0 approach.”
Segasec’s technology is designed to monitor do-
mains on the internet for suspected malicious activ-
ity and continuously surfaces the riskiest ones. By
using machine learning and running targeted scans
that identify even unknown attack patterns, the solu-
tion can help uncover both live attacks and detect
upcoming ones at the earliest possible stages, often
allowing customers to prevent them all together.
“In today’s increasingly digital economy, we rely so
heavily on websites and email to interact with busi-
nesses in both our professional and personal lives,”
said Elad Schulman, chief executive officer and
co-founder of Segasec. “As such, brand exploitation
has been on the rise, as cybercriminals co-opt the
brands we depend on and violate our trust. The pow-
erful combination of Mimecast and Segasec will
help customers better protect their brands, custom-
ers and other external stakeholders, as well as their
own employees.”

The company also announced an aggressive program to cut carbon emissions by
more than half by 2030 both for direct emissions and for entire supply and value chain
Microsoft recently set an ambitious goal and a new
plan to reduce and ultimately remove its carbon
footprint. By 2030, the technology giant, Microsoft,
will be carbon negative, and by 2050 the brand plans
to remove all the carbon from the environment, the
company has emitted either directly or by electrical
consumption since it was founded in 1975.
At an event at its headquarters, Microsoft Chief Ex-
ecutive Officer Satya Nadella, President Brad Smith,
Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood, and Chief En-
vironmental Officer Lucas Joppa announced the
company’s new goals and a detailed plan to become
carbon negative.
The company also announced an aggressive pro-
gram to cut carbon emissions by more than half by
2030, both for our direct emissions and for our en-
tire supply and value chain. This includes driving
down our own direct emissions and emissions relat-
ed to the energy we use to near zero by the middle
of this decade. It also announced a new initiative to
use Microsoft technology to help our suppliers and
customers around the world reduce their own carbon
footprints and a new $1 billion climate innovation
fund to accelerate the global development of carbon
reduction, capture and removal technologies. Begin-
ning next year, the company will also make carbon
reduction an explicit aspect of our procurement pro-
cesses for our supply chain. A new annual Environ-
mental Sustainability Report will detail Microsoft’s
carbon impact and reduction journey. And lastly, the
company will use its voice and advocacy to support
public policy that will accelerate carbon reduction
and removal opportunities.
2019–2020 Vendor Assessment.
The UEM vendor assessment report states, “Work-
space ONE has broadened its support for a range of
endpoint operating systems beyond mobile. VM-
ware’s AirLift component of Workspace ONE is a
PC management migration tool, which allows users
to migrate PC management configurations and set-
tings (such as Group Policy Objects and applications

In reference to its zero-trust security capabilities, the
report continues, “VMware’s acquisition of Carbon
Black, a leading next-generation endpoint security
and cloud-centric advanced threat detection com-
pany, bolsters the company’s security capabilities
throughout its IT software portfolio, from datacen-
ters and cloud to EUC. Having a combined UEM
and endpoint security offering puts VMware in a
small group of vendors offering both key enterprise
security and management technologies for PCs.”
Finally, in its vendor assessment of EMM software
for Rugged/IoT deployments, the IDC MarketScape
states, “Workspace ONE has deep integration capa-
bilities with a range of IoT devices, such as wear-
ables (e.g., Google Glass, Apple Watch) and other
‘workspace IoT’ technologies, such as digital assis-
tants, connected display/digital signage technology,

tive IoT use cases.”
VMware continues to deliver on new innovations
that make Workspace ONE an industry digital work-
space platform of choice for IT and employees. From
apps to mobile devices to PCs, VMware Workspace
ONE provides customers with a single console to
manage and better secure critical business apps and
devices across all platforms, including Windows
10, macOS, Chrome OS, iOS, Android and Linux.
A myriad of UEM-related innovations – including
digital concierge services to simplify employee ex-
periences, Digital Employee Experience Manage-
ment for proactive management of employee digital
experiences, and Workspace ONE Assist for remote
support – were introduced this year at VMworld
2019 US and VMworld 2019 Europe.
“As we advance our Workspace ONE platform, our
customers’ most pressing challenges – including
improving employee digital experience and secur-
ing an increasingly complex end-user computing
landscape – are front and center,” said Shankar Iyer,
senior vice president and general manager, EndUser
Computing, VMware. “The new innovations and ca-
pabilities we continue to unveil at a rapid pace aim
to alleviate these challenges and set our Workspace
ONE platform apart from other UEM offerings, as
recognized by today’s leading analysts.”

Kaspersky has integrated its cyberse-
curity solutions with the SolarWinds
Remote Monitoring and Manage-
ment (RMM) platform to help service
providers (MSPs) support smooth
operations and make their routines
easier to run. MSPs can now deploy
and manage Kaspersky’s products for
endpoints across all their customers
through a single SolarWinds manage-
ment console – both on-premises and
via a SaaS model – while automating
daily routine tasks such as security
monitoring and anti-virus (AV) data-
base updates.
Businesses rely on MSPs to achieve
the level of cybersecurity needed to
protect their data, save money and
reduce the strain on internal resourc-

crease, they must put more effort into
the day to day management of their
clients’ cybersecurity needs, to make
sure they can cope with the demand.
RMM platforms allow MSPs to proac-
tively manage their customer’s IT in-
frastructure remotely to prevent issues
and respond faster, so they can meet
service-level agreements. A single
monitoring and management console
also lets administrators automate dai-
ly routine tasks, meaning MSPs make
better use of cybersecurity resources
and allocate staff to other important
work such as connecting a new client.
The integration between Kaspersky
and SolarWinds will allow MSPs to
use best-of-breed Kaspersky products
and benefit from automating a wide
range of cybersecurity tasks – such as
monitoring protected devices, check-
ing for updates in the anti-virus data-
base, and remotely deploying security
to new endpoints – all through the
RMM platform.

out sessions designed to broaden your perspective,
engage your thoughts and help you improve your
security knowledge.
Hear the latest networking insights and thought-pro-
voking security concepts from Fortinet and industry
leaders. Presenters will guide attendees through the
modern threat environment and provide practical
and timely insights that will enable attendees to im-
prove their security strategies.
Fortinet executive team members presenting on
stage include Ken Xie, Founder, Chairman of the
Board, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Forti-
net; Patrice Perche, SVP Worldwide Sales and Sup-
port; Phil Quade, Chief Information Security Offi-
cer; John Maddison, EVP of Products and CMO at
Fortinet; and Derek Manky, Chief, Security Insights
and Global Threat Alliances at Fortinet. Attendees
will also include Keith Jensen, Chief Financial Offi-
cer at Fortinet and Peter Salkowski, VP of Investor
Relations at Fortinet.
Attendees can develop and deploy a comprehensive
security architecture, including a new track of ses-
sions, specially designed for industry-specific envi-
ronments, including retail, healthcare, government,
financial services, and service provider sectors—all
in an environment that encourages the free exchange
of ideas.
Hosted by NSE Institute, there will be 15 pre-con-
ference workshops providing some of the most
popular NSE training and certification courses held
prior to the main conference. Fast Track workshops
will show how to utilize the advanced features of-
fered across the Fortinet solution set.
This will be the opportunity to see the latest in se-
curity innovations from Fortinet and partners at
the Accelerate Tech Expo to showcase solutions,
demonstrate product functionality and highlight
integration with the Fortinet Security Fabric. Don’t
miss the chance to see a race car from Formula
E’s BMW I Andretti Motorsport as well as a guest
speaker from the team present on the main stage.
