Essay on Self-Analysis
Self–Analysis
Before taking this course my writing styles and habits were very different. I was the typical
procrastinator because I would wait until the night before a paper was due to start it. This did not
allow me enough time to properly proofread everything, which resulted in getting points deducted for
simple grammatical errors that could have been avoided if I would have had the time to proofread.
My writing styles have many strengths and weaknesses and I have been able to improve my writing
because of them. I have learned from my strengths and weaknesses how to become a better writer.
In my writing, I have many strengths, some that which I have developed through this course and
some that I already had. Before this...show more content...
I can write a thesis that will give an overview about what main topic of the paper is and what other
elements will be addressed in the paper. From taking this course I have been able to improve
many of my weaknesses, but there are still some that I need to work on. Overall I am becoming
better at not procrastinating as much as I used to. This class has helped me to learn to take the
little steps along the way because then there will not be as much work to do towards the end.
This has also made me realize that the final product of my writing will turn out better because it
will have had more time to develop, which means that there would have been more opportunities
to proofread. I think by learning many styles of writing, such as paraphrasing, summarizing,
analyzing, and researching; it has enabled me to be able to write more broadly. By knowing how
to correctly use all of these kinds of writing styles, it will help me in the future for other classes
because I will have the knowledge that I need to write these types of papers. I still procrastinate
sometimes, but not as much as I used to. I will be able to improve on this as time goes along
because I will become more motivated by seeing the end result, which usually would be better
grades.
Overall I think that my most of my writing habits have improved and for the ones that have not I
know what they are and what I need to do to improve them. My strengths that I already had as

Literacy Narrative Essay example
At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward
reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure
but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very
basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit
discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I
enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in
my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into
the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content...
You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the
same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was
intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing
are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't
personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the
most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and
professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to
write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to.
Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am
assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find
myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this
would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the
majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and
therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume
every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

Perseverance Essay
What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a
measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice one is willing to make in the name of success.
As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The
goal and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to
forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all efforts to succeed.
We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve
personal success is now. With this urgency comes the expectation of having to persevere. This year
has not been as easy one for us as a school body. We have been...show more content...
There is no shame in falling; the shame is in accepting the the fall as defeat. Nelson Mandella once
said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is
the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted
out.
Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it
to school. But you find it within yourself to do because the hope of a better tomorrow compels
you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake
you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the
bus, you are one step closer to realizing your dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what
perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all
things are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the
steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were divorced, but it seems like both parents
divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. She
gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "putting yourself through school", but she was in middle
school. However, she had a dream of something better and it was evident that it required
self–motivation and determination.
We have all been called upon

My Teaching Philosophy Essay
My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and
involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they
go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college.
Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead
something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better
equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly
anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That
being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content...
The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the
most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for
the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore
different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is
not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge
not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are
not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an
energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like
an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or
her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only
to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a
particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the
teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more

Example Of Peer Review
I chose to do my peer review on fellow nursing major Jessica Herman. She did her presentation on
a girl who was in the education field. While nursing is a very complex study, Jessica did a great job
at explaining and going over her memo interview and who her subject was. Furthermore, Jessica
accurately mentioned all of the details that were listed in the rubric for the subject's writing
category, and it was obvious she gained a lot of knowledge through completion of the interview and
project. In addition, Jessica displayed confidence during the entire presentation and this was evident
by the volume of her voice, not to loud and not to quite. Eye contact is also very important and she
made sure to keep in constant visual contact with the entire

Academic Tone Examples
The tone of a paper is often the reflection of how a writer feels about the subject they're telling an
audience about. Academic tone is a formal way of writing and uses the third person perspective. In
third person perspective you should never use personal pronouns and try to rarely ever use the word
"you." Academic tone also requires that one does not use slang words, jargon, or abbreviations in
their writing. It is intended to be serious and informative to the audience. An example of this is when
someone writes a letter to his school's principal about improvements that should be made to school
events. This person wants to sound formal and well–mannered rather than informal and
ill–mannered, and they also want their approach to be respectful

Systematic Review
NUR/518
University of Phoenix
Systematic Review The purpose of a systematic review is to attempt to find, evaluate and synthesize
high quality research relevant to the research question. A systematic review uses carefully
developed data collection and sampling procedures that are put in place in advance as a protocol.
(Polit, 2012). A systematic review must contain the following: a clear inclusion and exclusion
criteria, an explicit search strategy, systematic coding and analysis of included studies, and a
meta–analysis if possible. (Hemingway & Brereton, 2009). Systematic reviews are conducted by
nurse researchers to avoid reaching incorrect or misleading conclusions that...show more content...
(Bae, 2011).
Seven studies used the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index to measure nurse
working conditions, one used the Work Environment Survey, and the remaining three used a variety
of instruments from prior studies.
In examining the association between working conditions and patient outcomes, the eleven studies
contained a total of fourteen different patient outcome variables. The association between autonomy
and patient outcomes were examined in two studies. Six studies measure the philosophy
emphasizing the quality of clinical care and the association with patient outcomes.
Nurse participation was examined in regards to the relationship between nurse participator and the
patient outcomes, as well as the association between supportive managers and patient outcomes.
Other areas that were examined were collaborative relationships with physicians, supportive
relationships with peers, staffing and decentralization, patient–centered climate and busyness.
The findings of this systematic review suggest that evidence supporting a positive relationship
between better nurse working conditions and improved patient outcomes is

Grit Essay Examples
Grit is a predictor of academic, professional, and personal success. Grit can be defined as strength
of character or the ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success. People with
grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and ability to
overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost
any venture, as it gives someone an advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face.
However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset. The first step to
obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective.
By doing this, one can focus on the task at hand...show more content...
I had no experience as a runner nor did I have the form. This did not phase me however. That year
I promised myself to push through all the six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times,
lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and further. I
set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when
I failed. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team
won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The
transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of
becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I
wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people
that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being
physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone
has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to
an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use
the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe
that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent
are just the starting point.

Critique Essay Examples
Critique Essay of Process and Learning
Out of all the projects for this course, I think the critique paper was the hardest because it challenged
how I thought about scientific journals when it came to identifying weak parts of a study and how to
critique the strengths and weaknesses within those articles in a scientific manner. As a result, my
writing process was affected by this in depth look into each of the three articles I chose on stroke
rehabilitation with a focus on virtual reality, and my understanding of science writing grew with this
paper.
With the critique paper, my writing process consisted of using the critique planning worksheet
provided on Blackboard, and meeting with you, the professor, outside the classroom during your

For the proposal between my partner, Alicia Buettner, and I, we decided to find something that
related to each of our health profession majors. Our research for the proposal revealed the
importance of occupational and physical therapists working together in the field and the
changing technology in prostheses within rehabilitation treatment. With both topics in mind, we
chose to have our proposal addressing the need for occupational therapy (OT) and physical
therapy (PT) students working together in a class at the University of Findlay that also focused
on prostheses. After deciding on a topic for our proposal, the next step in the writing process was
following the break down for each section of the proposal that you, the professor, provided our
peers and us in the classroom. By discussing the content required for each of the sections in the
proposal and the correct formats we were to be using during class time, my partner and I were
able to gain a grasp on what you were requiring from our proposal. For example, Alicia and I spent
a great deal of time looking over the notes we wrote down from the board to make sure we were
following the correct guidelines for each section. The mini assignments also helped in reassuring
that Alicia and I were on the correct path for the proposal. With each

Example Of Search Strategy
Search strategy Three data bases were used to collect the data, namely, One Search, CINAHL and
ProQuest. These data bases were searched for the terms such as 'cardiac rehabilitation', 'quality of
life,' 'benefits', and 'CHD'. Inclusion criteria were qualitative articles, written in English and
published between the years of 2010 and 2017. Quantitative articles and articles written in
non–English languages are excluded from this study. Moreover, this study focused only on adults,
therefore the paediatric studies are also excluded from this study. After applying the inclusion and
exclusion strategy, 12 articles reported qualitative study regarding the topic and they are used in this
essay. Data analysis Braun and Clarke (2006) developed a...show more content...
1.1a ExercisePhysical inactivity is one of the modifiable risk factor for the coronary heart diseases
(Devries et al, 2011), and therefore exercise is used as an integral component of the primary and
secondary prevention in reducing mortality and improving the quality of life. Upon reviewing the
literature, the author found that, patients' perspective about physical exercise differs widely. In their
study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event,
help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health
benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert
their mind and thus helps them to cope with the condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the
current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise
and, therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al,
2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the supervision of the trained staff increases the
confidence of patients in participating exercise (Morken et al, 2013). The study also found that, the
patient increases their self–confidence level in performing exercise, after seeing the health
improvements in the former cardiac patients (Morken et al, 2013). Furthermore, Back et al (2017)
carried a further study to evaluate

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Essay example
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is among the most extensively tested psychotherapies for
depression. Many studies have confirmed the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a
treatment for depression. This paper will provide background information about the intervention,
address the target population, and describe program structure and key components. It will also
provide examples of program implementation, challenges/barriers to implementing the practice,
address how the practice supports recovery from a serious mental illness standpoint and provide a
summary. Although there are several types of therapy available to treat depression and other mood
disorders, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) has been one of the most widely...show more content...
According to Hayes, emphasis shifted towards exploration of one's interpretation of the world and
interpretation of emotionally relevant situations, and shapes experience. This second generation of
developments included rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) developed by Albert Ellis, and
Beck and colleagues' cognitive therapy. There are many different forms of CBT and the target
population varies depending on the form. Some of the many different forms include: trauma–focused
CBT for children, CBT for late–life depression, and CBT for adolescent depression to name a few;
each form has a variety of age groups intended as its target population. For example CBT for
adolescent depression has the target population of individuals ages 13–17 and 18–25 whereas CBT
for late–life depression has the target population of individuals ages 55 and older (NREPP, 2014)
CBT differs from other forms of psychotherapy in the sense the sessions have more structure. Those
with specific focus and goal may benefit more from CBT. It is less suitable for someone who feels
vaguely unhappy or unfulfilled, but doesn't have any symptoms or a particular aspect of their life
they want to work on. CBT is effective for a wide variety of mental health disorders, including but
not limited to mood, anxiety, personality, eating, substance abuse, sleep, and psychotic

Examples Of Essay Papers

  • 1. Essay on Self-Analysis Self–Analysis Before taking this course my writing styles and habits were very different. I was the typical procrastinator because I would wait until the night before a paper was due to start it. This did not allow me enough time to properly proofread everything, which resulted in getting points deducted for simple grammatical errors that could have been avoided if I would have had the time to proofread. My writing styles have many strengths and weaknesses and I have been able to improve my writing because of them. I have learned from my strengths and weaknesses how to become a better writer. In my writing, I have many strengths, some that which I have developed through this course and some that I already had. Before this...show more content... I can write a thesis that will give an overview about what main topic of the paper is and what other elements will be addressed in the paper. From taking this course I have been able to improve many of my weaknesses, but there are still some that I need to work on. Overall I am becoming better at not procrastinating as much as I used to. This class has helped me to learn to take the little steps along the way because then there will not be as much work to do towards the end. This has also made me realize that the final product of my writing will turn out better because it will have had more time to develop, which means that there would have been more opportunities to proofread. I think by learning many styles of writing, such as paraphrasing, summarizing, analyzing, and researching; it has enabled me to be able to write more broadly. By knowing how to correctly use all of these kinds of writing styles, it will help me in the future for other classes because I will have the knowledge that I need to write these types of papers. I still procrastinate sometimes, but not as much as I used to. I will be able to improve on this as time goes along because I will become more motivated by seeing the end result, which usually would be better grades. Overall I think that my most of my writing habits have improved and for the ones that have not I know what they are and what I need to do to improve them. My strengths that I already had as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Literacy Narrative Essay example At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content... You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Perseverance Essay What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice one is willing to make in the name of success. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all efforts to succeed. We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve personal success is now. With this urgency comes the expectation of having to persevere. This year has not been as easy one for us as a school body. We have been...show more content... There is no shame in falling; the shame is in accepting the the fall as defeat. Nelson Mandella once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted out. Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it to school. But you find it within yourself to do because the hope of a better tomorrow compels you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the bus, you are one step closer to realizing your dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all things are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were divorced, but it seems like both parents divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. She gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "putting yourself through school", but she was in middle school. However, she had a dream of something better and it was evident that it required self–motivation and determination. We have all been called upon Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Teaching Philosophy Essay My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content... The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Example Of Peer Review I chose to do my peer review on fellow nursing major Jessica Herman. She did her presentation on a girl who was in the education field. While nursing is a very complex study, Jessica did a great job at explaining and going over her memo interview and who her subject was. Furthermore, Jessica accurately mentioned all of the details that were listed in the rubric for the subject's writing category, and it was obvious she gained a lot of knowledge through completion of the interview and project. In addition, Jessica displayed confidence during the entire presentation and this was evident by the volume of her voice, not to loud and not to quite. Eye contact is also very important and she made sure to keep in constant visual contact with the entire Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Academic Tone Examples The tone of a paper is often the reflection of how a writer feels about the subject they're telling an audience about. Academic tone is a formal way of writing and uses the third person perspective. In third person perspective you should never use personal pronouns and try to rarely ever use the word "you." Academic tone also requires that one does not use slang words, jargon, or abbreviations in their writing. It is intended to be serious and informative to the audience. An example of this is when someone writes a letter to his school's principal about improvements that should be made to school events. This person wants to sound formal and well–mannered rather than informal and ill–mannered, and they also want their approach to be respectful Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Systematic Review Essay examples Systematic Review NUR/518 University of Phoenix Systematic Review The purpose of a systematic review is to attempt to find, evaluate and synthesize high quality research relevant to the research question. A systematic review uses carefully developed data collection and sampling procedures that are put in place in advance as a protocol. (Polit, 2012). A systematic review must contain the following: a clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, an explicit search strategy, systematic coding and analysis of included studies, and a meta–analysis if possible. (Hemingway & Brereton, 2009). Systematic reviews are conducted by nurse researchers to avoid reaching incorrect or misleading conclusions that...show more content... (Bae, 2011). Seven studies used the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index to measure nurse working conditions, one used the Work Environment Survey, and the remaining three used a variety of instruments from prior studies. The association between autonomy and patient outcomes were examined in two studies. Six studies measure the philosophy emphasizing the quality of clinical care and the association with patient outcomes. Nurse participation was examined in regards to the relationship between nurse participator and the patient outcomes, as well as the association between supportive managers and patient outcomes. Other areas that were examined were collaborative relationships with physicians, supportive relationships with peers, staffing and decentralization, patient–centered climate and busyness. The findings of this systematic review suggest that evidence supporting a positive relationship between better nurse working conditions and improved patient outcomes is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Grit Essay Examples Grit is a predictor of academic, professional, and personal success. Grit can be defined as strength of character or the ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success. People with grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and ability to overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost any venture, as it gives someone an advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face. However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset. The first step to obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective. By doing this, one can focus on the task at hand...show more content... I had no experience as a runner nor did I have the form. This did not phase me however. That year I promised myself to push through all the six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times, lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and further. I set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when I failed. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent are just the starting point. • 9. Critique Essay Examples Critique Essay of Process and Learning Out of all the projects for this course, I think the critique paper was the hardest because it challenged how I thought about scientific journals when it came to identifying weak parts of a study and how to critique the strengths and weaknesses within those articles in a scientific manner. As a result, my writing process was affected by this in depth look into each of the three articles I chose on stroke rehabilitation with a focus on virtual reality, and my understanding of science writing grew with this paper. For the proposal between my partner, Alicia Buettner, and I, we decided to find something that related to each of our health profession majors. Our research for the proposal revealed the importance of occupational and physical therapists working together in the field and the changing technology in prostheses within rehabilitation treatment. With both topics in mind, we chose to have our proposal addressing the need for occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) students working together in a class at the University of Findlay that also focused on prostheses. After deciding on a topic for our proposal, the next step in the writing process was following the break down for each section of the proposal that you, the professor, provided our peers and us in the classroom. By discussing the content required for each of the sections in the proposal and the correct formats we were to be using during class time, my partner and I were able to gain a grasp on what you were requiring from our proposal. For example, Alicia and I spent a great deal of time looking over the notes we wrote down from the board to make sure we were following the correct guidelines for each section. The mini assignments also helped in reassuring that Alicia and I were on the correct path for the proposal. With each Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Quantitative articles and articles written in non–English languages are excluded from this study. Moreover, this study focused only on adults, therefore the paediatric studies are also excluded from this study. Upon reviewing the literature, the author found that, patients' perspective about physical exercise differs widely. In their study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event, help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise and, therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the supervision of the trained staff increases the confidence of patients in participating exercise (Morken et al, 2013). The study also found that, the patient increases their self–confidence level in performing exercise, after seeing the health improvements in the former cardiac patients (Morken et al, 2013). • 11. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Essay example Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is among the most extensively tested psychotherapies for depression. Many studies have confirmed the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a treatment for depression. This paper will provide background information about the intervention, address the target population, and describe program structure and key components. It will also provide examples of program implementation, challenges/barriers to implementing the practice, address how the practice supports recovery from a serious mental illness standpoint and provide a summary. Although there are several types of therapy available to treat depression and other mood disorders, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) has been one of the most widely...show more content... According to Hayes, emphasis shifted towards exploration of one's interpretation of the world and interpretation of emotionally relevant situations, and shapes experience. This second generation of developments included rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) developed by Albert Ellis, and Beck and colleagues' cognitive therapy. There are many different forms of CBT and the target population varies depending on the form. Some of the many different forms include: trauma–focused CBT for children, CBT for late–life depression, and CBT for adolescent depression to name a few; each form has a variety of age groups intended as its target population. For example CBT for adolescent depression has the target population of individuals ages 13–17 and 18–25 whereas CBT for late–life depression has the target population of individuals ages 55 and older (NREPP, 2014) CBT differs from other forms of psychotherapy in the sense the sessions have more structure. Those with specific focus and goal may benefit more from CBT. It is less suitable for someone who feels vaguely unhappy or unfulfilled, but doesn't have any symptoms or a particular aspect of their life they want to work on. CBT is effective for a wide variety of mental health disorders, including but not limited to mood, anxiety, personality, eating, substance abuse, sleep, and psychotic Get more content on HelpWriting.net
