Today, much of my work is
centered on technology whether
it is related to creating solutions
for a technical initiative or solving
a problem which has become a
stopping point for a group or
department.

I was always curious about how
things worked and what elements
were involved to have something
operate so I began my early
college years pursuing a degree in
computer information systems.

I obtained my A.A.S degree which
provided me with a foundation for
various levels of technology in
various areas of technology such

From this point, I elected to start
teaching myself web development
and get hands on experience in
the field of my interests so I took
a position as a helpdesk analyst so
learn some basic concepts in the
computing environment.

As years passed, the technology
aspect of my career began to take
a different path and now rather
being behind the scenes working
on a solution, I began to have
frequent face time with non-
technical groups and was acting as
more of a liaison translating
technical specifications into
simpler terms which could be
understood by a customer or
business unit.

When I stated to read and gather
information about the SPS
program and more
specifically, the communication
and culture degree, I thought this
would be something which could
help shape the communication
aspect of my daily experiences
which would help expand my
communication in both writing
and speaking, and become a more
well-rounded persons adding to
skills that could be applied to any
situations whether it is business or
personal.
