WEDNESDAY, 29 Jun Arrival of all partners at the hotel and welcome dinner
THURSDAY, 30 June The first meeting started with the presentation of all partners and their institutions. After the presentation, Belgium partner has discussed some questions like the evaluation report, the necessity to have a “HEFORE Corner” in the institutions, the presence of HEFORE project information in their websites, the necessity to provide Europasses, and the preparation of the Final Report
After this first workshop, we were received speeches by Mr. Toomas Sepp, Tallinn City Office and by Mr. Anton Pärn, Under-Secretary of Cultural Heritage of Ministry of Culture. Toomas Sepp speaks about the events that Tallinn city propose for the European Culture capital. After these important speeches, partners started to work on Pedagogical Cards. Poland, Italy and Portugal have presented their own cards. During these presentations we were able to develop a serious analysis, with a critical view about the structure of these cards. This discussion allowed understanding if this tool will be a good instrument to share the good practices between partners.

Festival of Dance and Music . The Opening Ceremony of the XI Youth Song and Dance Celebration and first performance of the Dance Celebration The lighting of the song and dance celebration fire forms an important part of the opening ceremony. Dance Celebration was almost a 2-hour dance performance with thousands of dancers’ and gymnasts’ groups (altogether 7554 performer s ) on the dance ground.

SATURDAY 2 July The last day of this meeting was dedicated to visit natural, cultural and architectonic heritage of Estonia. We went by bus to the Lahemaa National Park . This is the oldest (founded in 1971) and largest national park in Estonia created to protect the nature and cultural heritage of the Northern Estonian coastal landscape.
Typically of Lahemaa, the coastline is marked by a boulder field – the so-called open-air museum of rocks Then we visited Sagadi manorial complex .
Evaluation moment We visited Käsmu, a village of captains (first mentioned in 1453). We walked to the yard of Käsmu Sea Museum on the seaside for the evaluation of the program in Estonia using natural materials (corns, stones, flowers, seaweed , rush etc) .
Portugal e valuation moment “ In our evaluation we intended to highlight two fundamental learning aspects of this mobility ”
On the one hand, and using the memorial symbol of independence of Tallinn ( a cross ), we wanted to emphasize what we have learned about Estonia and its people, showing its courage and ability to face adversity over the centuries. This is a story of struggle and survival but also the history of a people who managed to transform its heritage, natural and cultural, in its greatest strength, using it to present itself as a united people with its own identity (the only way to understand the grandeur of the Festival of Dance and Music ).
On the other hand, and using the symbols of the sun and moon , we wanted to highlight another important issue: although we had here, for the first time, the experience of being in a country where it gets no dark and the light is always present, in here we have discovered also the “darkness” and we confront the most difficult of experiences: being blind for an hour. Visiting the exhibition " Dialogue in Dark " we experience the ordeal of not seeing anything.
The End…
