2. Name of The Experiment: Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
Tools:
Six Pc
Copper Cross-Over Cable
Copper Straight Through Cable
Cisco Packet Tracer Software
Two Routers
Six Switches
Topology:
Implementation:
First I Took Six PC, Six Switches & Two Routers and Connected Them Using Copper Straight
Through & Copper Cross-Over Cable. Then I Configure IP in all PC & Routers using CLI
(Command Line Interface). At last I route them using RIP (Routing Information Protocol).
Result:
Conclusion:
Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a dynamic protocol used to find the best route or path
from end-to-end (source to destination) over a network by using a routing metric/hop count
3. algorithm. This algorithm is used to determine the shortest path from the source to destination,
which allows the data to be delivered at high speed in the shortest time.
