4. Steps 1. Put the tape into the tick timer. Connect the weight and the tape. Put the tick timer at the edge of a table. 2. Turn on the power, let the weight fall down. So there will be some dots on the tape. 3. Choose two dots “a” and “b” and use ruler to measure the distance between the two dots, let it be X. 4 .Choose another dot “c” and measure the distance between “b”and “c”,let it be Y b a c

5. Determine Use the formula Average V=s/t Vab=x/0.02×2 Vbc=y/0.02×2 Use the formula V =U+at Vbc =Vab+at x/0.04 =y/0.04+g×0.04 g=(y-x)/0.0016

6. Source and errors? 1. Dots on the tape may be too close to measure. 2. The voltage on the tick timer may not steady. So the time may be not exact. 3. The ruler has limited reading.
