The aim of this paper is to propose a new peak detection method for a portable device, which know as modified automatic threshold peak detection (M-ATPD). M-ATPD evolves out of ATPD with a focus on reducing computational time. The proposed method replaces the clustering threshold calculation in ATPD with a standard deviation threshold calculation. M-ATPD reduces computational time by 2 times faster compared to ATPD for control signal and 8.65 times faster compared to ATPD for raw biosignals. Modified ATPD also shows a slight improvement in terms of detection error, with a decrease of about 6.66% to 13.33% in peak detection of noise signals. Modified ATPD successfully fixes the error of peak detection on pulse control signals associated with ATPD. For raw biosignals, in total M-ATPD achieved 19.41% lower detection error compare to ATPD.

In recent day, Electromyography (EMG) signal are widely applied in myoelectric control. Unfortunately, most of studies focused on the classification of EMG signals based on healthy subjects. Due to the lack of study in amputee subject, this paper aims to investigate the performance of healthy and amputee subjects for the classification of multiple hand movement types. In this work, Gabor transform (GT) is used to transform the EMG signal into time-frequency representation. Five time-frequency features are extracted from GT coefficient. Feature extraction is an effective way to reduce the dimensionality, as well as keeping the valuable information. Two popular classifiers namely k-nearest neighbor (KNN) and support vector machine (SVM) are employed for performance evaluation. The developed system is evaluated using the EMG data acquired from the publicy available NinaPro Database. The results revealed that the extracting GT features can achieve promising performance in the classification of EMG signals.

In this paper, a Coplanar Wave Guide (CPW)-Fed microstrip octagonal patch antenna for RFID Applications is proposed. The studied structure is suitable for 2.45/5.80 GHz applications. The octagonal shape is obtained by making triangular cuts in the four angles of the rectangular microstrip patch antenna; in addition the using of CPW-Fed allows obtaining UWB characteristics in the higher band. The miniaturization in the antenna size for lower band is achieved by introducing an inverted E slot in the radiating element. The proposed antenna is designed on a single and a small substrate board of dimensions 29.5×29.5×1.6 mm3. Moreover the miniaturized antenna has a good impedance matching and an enhanced gain. The simulation analysis was performed using the CADFEKO software, a Method of Moment (MoM) based solver, and a prototype of this antenna was fabricated, good agreement with the simulation providing validation of the design procedure. The measurements are done with ANRITSU MS2026C Vectorial Network Analyzer.

In the various field of life person identification is an essential and important task. This helps for the investigation of criminal activities and used in various type of forensic applications like surveillance. For biometric recognition iris, face, voice and fingerprint have a limited fabrication and from there the exact decision regarding liveliness of the subject can be drawn. The aim of the approach is to construct a biometric recognition system based on ECG which processes the raw ECG signal. The entire process is supported by different filters for noise elimination and ECG characteristics waves gone through time domain analysis. Based on the analysis an efficient feature extraction model is developed where several best P-QRS-T signal parts are taken and the positions of the fragmented signals are normalized depends on the priorities of their positions. The calculation of domain features done 72 times. It checks the data sets (train and test) and from feature vector matching to each of the individual signal, separately. The performance and utility of the system are analyzed and feature vectors are examined by different classification algorithms of machine learning. The leading algorithms like K-nearest neighbor, artificial neural network and support vector machine are used to classify different features of ECG, and it is tested using standard cardiac database i.e. the MIT-BIH ECG -ID database.

This paper presents a critical review of time-frequency distributions (TFDs) analysis for detection and classification of harmonic signal. 100 unique harmonic signals comprise of numerous characteristic are detected and classified by using spectrogram, Gabor transform and S-transform. The rulebased classifier and the threshold settings of the analysis are according to the IEEE Standard 1159 2009. The best TFD for harmonic signals detection and classification is selected through performance analysis with regards to the accuracy, computational complexity and memory size that been used during the analysis.

We present this work by two steps. In the first one, the new structure proposed of the FP-HEMTs device (Field plate High Electron Mobility Transistor) with a T-gate on an 4H-SIC substrate to optimize these electrical performances, multiple field-plates were used with aluminum oxide to split the single electric field peak into several smaller peaks, and as passivation works to reduce scaling leakage current. In the next, we include a modeling of a simulation in the Tcad-Silvaco Software for realizing the study of the influence of negative voltage applied to gate T-shaped in OFF state time and high power with ambient temperature, the performance differences between the 3FP and the SFP devices are discussed in detail.

The study of Design of Earthquake Early Warning System for Real Time Using Geomagnetism and Total Electron Content with Fuzzy Logic through competitive grants scheme has obtained the prototype of the earthquake early warning system. However, it still needs improvements on in the calibration of thesensor system especially for MAG3110 sensor and DHT11 sensor. This calibration was done by adjusting the sensor system to the existing measuring devices standards in the Physics Department laboratory of the Sains Faculty Lampung University, to obtain measurement accuracyand to get a good result about where and when the earthquake would occurand how strong the earthquake would be. The calibration of MAG3110 sensor and DHT11 sensor obtained the standard correction results, the standard deviation of MAG3110 from 3 axes, namely x axis was 8.5, y axis was 2.66, and z axis was 1.9, whereas the standard deviation for DH11 sensor was 0.1161.
