It is not limited to getting a
degree in a so called professional
course
It is a way of life. It is to be deeply
ingrained.

However, often this term seems to imply
different things to different people
4. Professional in detail
Origin: Professio (Latin) – an oath taken upon entering a
religious order.
Definitions have changed with times : From Earning money
from what they do; conducting in a particular way, dressing
style, ethical working.
Presently it can be defined as – Anyone who recognizes
and understands the need to behave
professionally, as if (s)he is on an oath to perform.
5. Qualities of a true Professional
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to certify completion of a job or task, and
Ability to behave with integrity at all times
A true professional is comfortable dealing with
something (s)he was not trained for
A person who needs supervision is no professional
7. What Integrity means
Simply said, it means:
We follow the rules
Where rules don’t exist, we use fair judgment
When in doubt, we don’t go ahead and do what suits us;
we seek counsel
Finally, faced with a difficult choice, we ask ourselves:
can my act stand public scrutiny with no embarrassment
to me and my family
8. Test of integrity
Is my intended act consistent with the law of land?
Is what I am going to do a fair thing?
If I were to seek counsel from someone with no
vested interest, would he second my act?
Would it embarrass me if the news of what I intend
to do broke out?

Papa, I don’t really agree with the last line. So negative. I would rather throw the second last line to the people and have a discussion on it. They themselves should want to say that a professional is the one who has high ownership and self control.
