Project #1 : Implementation of HMI Application for Ford C346 MCA L3 HMI Cluster
Client : Visteon Corp (Formerly Johnson Control Inc.).

Description : The scope of the project is to develop HMI application software for C346 Level3 Cluster.
This software runs on a dedicated Graphics board that is connected to the C346 Level3 Instrument Cluster
(Primary) CPU board through a serial link (SPI). The Instrument Cluster CPU board generates data that is
sent to the Graphics board via IPC. The role of the “C346 Level3 Cluster HMI” is to manage the display of
data generated by the Instrument cluster on a color display and to manage the user interaction with the
display.
Role: DEVELOPER
1. Resolving/fixing bugs, performance issues, frequent crashes in HMI LEVEL 3 application
2. Implementation of new feature/ widgets in HMI application for Level 3 Ford cluster (For Ex: New Pop-
ups/warnings, Distance indication (DI), Adaptive Cruise Control etc.)

Project #2 : Implementation of HMI Application for Ford C36x Panther L3 HMI Cluster
Description : This project involves HMI code development and maintenance for cluster display. MVC
Architecture is adopted for implementing User Interface and Coding is done in C language. Agile process is
followed. It involves development of various features like Trip Computer, ACC/CC/ASLD, MyKey, LDW,
LFW etc. Unit Testing & QAC is carried out as part of functional testing. This project also involves the
implementation and handling of multiple languages.

release process faster.
Role: DEVELOPER/COORDINATOR
1. To coordinate clarifications/queries raised by offshore development team to Primary Team at Onsite
2. Analysis and resolving/fixing of Bugs raised by Validation team at Visteon Corp, Bulgaria
3. Analysis of new requirements, design changes purposed by Client (Visteon).
Project Work during Course Curriculum
Title: Automated Wireless Community Electric Meter Reading.
Description: In this project an attempt has been made to calculate consumption of Electrical energy by
means of a proposed electric meter. This project is aimed at a solution that provides easy, cost-effective and
accurate Automated Metering System or AMS. After calculation, readings are sent to a base station using
ZigBee where they are stored in a database. Base Station can inform respective house owner about unit
consumed and total amount to be paid by sending Short Message Services (SMS).
