The document is a collection of messages celebrating Father's Day. It includes a letter from a daughter to her father apologizing for past anger and forgiving him, as well as short messages from others thanking their fathers for their love and support, both living and deceased. The overall message is about the importance of fathers and expressing gratitude for their role in one's life.
1. Happy Father’s Day! Celebrate your Daddy!
I am convinced that Fathers are the most pwowerful men on the planet considering
their role in the lives of their children. All babies say “Da Da” first as mom
watches in disbelief and asks herself “did THAT just happen!?” It’s a significant
and beautiful interaction that happens between a Father and child. The image of
Fathers holding their babies is one that is just beyond describable in words. So
today in the W.O.W Community I have solicited the help of Pwowerful Ones to
address their Fathers in what is a Virtual Father’s Day Card on the Pwower
Network. Enjoy and Celebrate a Pwowerful Father today! Encourage, Empower,
and Embrace a man with one of the most important roles in the world; raising,
training, and loving children. There are times when Daddies just don’t do a really
good job at being a Daddy but it’s nothing short of amazing the elasticity of a
child’s heart even at adulthood to love and forgive. The following letter is one that
touched my heart and I wanted to share it with the world.
Dear Daddy,
It’s me, Toni. I know it’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. We’ve
talked several times throughout the years but haven’t seen each other for at least a
decade.
Daddy, do you remember when I was in the third grade in Ms. Shephards’ class
and you and mommy were either divorced or separated. You were living with Lala
and you had to get me ready for school. Remember when you told me to go and
get the comb and brush so that you could do my hair. I remember running up the
steps to get the comb, brush, hair grease and the two fuzzy hair ribbons. Do you
remember; one orange and one pink? Remember after doing my hair, you put
about 2 inches of Vaseline on my face because “the hawk was out”. Well, I
remember getting to school and my classmates laughing because apparently my
plaits were sticking straight out of my head. They kept laughing and saying that I
look like a bull. When asked, “who did you hair”, I proudly said, “MY DADDY”.
(smile)
Remember when you took me to my very first movie, Saturday Night Fever with
John Travolta and mommy was livid because she couldn’t believe that you would
take her baby to “that type of movie”? I do. (smile)
2. Well, enough with going down “good-ole memory lane”. For a long time I was
angry with you, Daddy. I couldn’t understand how daddy’s little girl was no
longer daddy’s little girl. I thought that once you started your new life, you no
longer wanted me to be a part of your life. I thought that somehow I was some
sort of disappointment to you and carried that feeling for a very long time. You
know what daddy, it no longer matters that you missed different milestones in my
life. It no longer matters that we are almost like strangers in a sense. The only
thing that really matters is that I love you. I know we can’t reclaim the past or
change wrongs to right but I also know that we can start anew, right here, right
now. I have always loved you and will always love you because I am daddy’s
little girl. See you soon.
Love,
Your daughter, Toni or as you call me, Hirisa, daughter of the sun……….………..
P.S. Remember when I came to your house to bring the kids and before I left you
hugged me. While you were hugging me, you whispered in my ear the words, “I’m
sorry”. I didn’t respond and didn’t acknowledge what you said, but I want you to
know it’s okay. I have forgiven you. No Regrets. No Guilt. No Pain. Just
Love…………..
The above letter is such a Pwowerful gift to a Daddy/Father on Father’s Day. This
gentlemen can take comfort in knowing that his Daughter loves him, forgives him,
has no regrets, guilt, or pain. Will you write you letter today? Will you tell your
Father what he needs to hear?
3. Here are more expressions of thanks and love from the Pwowerful Ones to

in miss you Daddy. R.I.P.-Dana B.

supposed to act. RIP Daddy—Eula Y.
We love you Dad Everyday- Eli, Q, and J.
For a special guy: You never got the chance to meet joy face to face but you loved
the sound of his heartbeat like music to your ears. A dad like no other, you were a
boy groomed into a man, you became a father the greatest joy you could ever
have. A dad at heart your dream are rarely spoken and your wants are few. The
greatest gift of all came from making you a dad. Happy Father's Day—Trudy A.

Happy Father’s Day to my father who is man enough to continue to show me a
great example of fatherhood! - Quin H.
Thank you Daddy for being one of my biggest supporters. You always told me I
could do anything I set my mind to. Thank you for being there for me to talk to
whether it was during the day or in the middle of the night. Thank you for being
you and passing down all those "traits" mom says I get from you: smiling too much
and seeing the good in EVERYONE! And thank you for teaching me what
unconditional love means: "I love you NO MATTER WHAT!"—Crystal S.
