In keeping with this year’s theme of using data to build a better world, the diHub is thrilled to welcome back three of the winners of the DengueHack.org hackathon to present their results at the di-Summit. From team Stream, Hannah Pinson will be presenting their work on using Twitter data to predict dengue outbreaks. From the Juniors, a team made up of junior data scientists, most of whom were participants in the di-Academy’s Data Science Boot Camp, Olivier Van Tongerloo and Nico Verheyden will be presenting their work on building a model to predict the spread of Dengue in Malaysia. Finally, Maarten Vandenbroeck from Cronos will present XploData’s results on the determining factors that predict the spread of dengue.
