He plays equally strongly in all
elements of the game. But he is my hero
not because of his exceptional success on
the volleyball court.
 He is my hero because of his fortitude, his
desire to win, his ability to be part of the
team.

5.  Sergey was in a car accident in the middle
of October 2000 in Italy. He was seriously
injured, but he returned to sport after a
year of rehabilitation.

6.  With the help of his fighting spirit he made a
great contribution to the victory of the
Russian team at the Olympic Games 2012 in
London.

7.  I have been playing
volleyball for three
years already. And if
one day I didn’t see
the volleyball match
in which Sergey
Tetyukhin took part,
now I wouldn’t be the
captain of the
volleyball team. I
love volleyball
