Yuri Borzakovskiy is a Russian athlete who won gold in the 800-meter race at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He is a three-time European champion and world champion in 2001. Borzakovskiy was born in 1981 in Kratovo, Russia and spent most of his life training in Moscow, winning numerous medals at the World and European Championships between 2001 and 2012. He is considered one of Russia's most successful athletes in running disciplines.
