8. Covered roles and main achievements:
• Hardware Designer. ATM functionality design on FPGA to create hardware macro.
• Junior System Engineer. Main activity in this role is design and development of Motorola microprocessor
based service cards for a multi-service access device (CO side).
The objective is to realize a “Telecom Grade” equipment able to manage different protocols (IP, Frame
Relay, ATM) based on ATM as internal interconnection technology.
The whole system was built around boards and components developed inside the R&D area.
• System architecture – Multiservice Switch Project
• Hardware and software co-design – Multiservice Switch Project
• Project management - European project “IN-RAM” Esprit aimed to develop an IP forwarding hardware
accelerator to increase the performances in IP routers equipments. Within this activity covered the role of
Technical Leader and Project Leader. The project budget was around €400.000
9. In November 1999 moved in Siemens ICN R&D area in a group named “Exploration
Development” with the role of Junior System Engineer. Inside this role worked on Network and
System architecture definition. The activity of this period was mainly to support the new product
definition in different Siemens BU in Milan and Munich.
The know how acquired in the network data transmission, IP and ATM, enable an easy integration
of this new group inside the Siemens organization and was used to help Siemens in cover the data
transmission in IP/GPRS and ATM/UMTS area.
In November 2000 covered the role of Senior System Engineer with the following
responsibility:
• project management
• product definition
• partner management
• prototyping and test.
10. senior application engineer inside the New Architecture group
This group was positioned between the different Business Unit with the objective of develop and design the
architecture for System on Chip devices. Within this group managed the definition and design of a Voice Over
IP system including the following activities:
Management of the software development group with a 3-party supplier in France with a team of 10 people
Management of the hardware design with a team in India and in Italy composed by 8 people
The VoIP device named Stradivarius is still in the ST catalog.
In 2002 joined the ADSL BU working on a dual core integrated ADSL device.
In 2003 joined the WLAN BU where worked on the WLAN low power solutions for Mobile equipments. Within
this activity managed the development of a high integrated 802.11b Multi Chip Module (MCM) for one of the
main mobile phone company. This MCM reach million of peaces.
11. L3 support manager for the gateway product line developed inside the Milan lab supporting
more than 300 customers around the EMEA, Latin America and ASIA PAC areas.
Inside this role the main responsibilities was:
• Optimize the L3 support process and minimize the problem solution time
• Management of the L3 support group (3 people)
• Pre-Sales, Post-Sales an L2 support for the market area outside the US
• Product Marketing Manager support for requirements incoming from customer or new standards
Achievements
The new L3 support process was in place since July 2006, the average answering time for a first
feedback to an open ticket was reduced from 1 weeks to 2 days and the average bugs solution
for the traced issues moved from 2 months to 3 weeks.

Inside this role the main responsibilities are:
Create and manage Product requirement Document (PRD) in collaboration with sales and marketing
group, define and maintain the product roadmap
Create and manage Marketing Requirement Document (MRD)
Manage marketing collateral like data sheets, white papers, and case studies.
Manage the current Residential and Business Gateway products
Interface the pre-sales and main customers for new requirement and product enhancement
Collaborate in RFI answering process
13. Solution Marketing Manager within the Marketing and Sales area.
Solution Marketing Manager role is to develop solutions and collateral across
vertical market segments to drive business results, with the ultimate goal of
rapid market acceptance, sales success and leading market share.
Reporting to the EMEA Sales and Solution Director, has the responsibility
to package innovative solutions and messaging based on market
opportunities across the whole Allied product and services portfolio.
Within this role works closely with marketing, sales and product management to develop and evangelize
solution positioning, messaging, collateral, sales tools, value drivers, benefits, plans and differentiation.
