Descriptive Essay On Moving Day
The scene outside, rainy and gloomy, sets an eerie tone. This isn't the typical August weather, but
we're not concerned at all. It'll only make our jobs more difficult in this harsh downpour. As a
matter of fact, my parents have been waiting for this day ever since they made their choice. My
voice didn't matter as much, so I had two choices. I had tried preparing myself by opting for one
of the choices. However, that wasn't the case on moving day. My day started like every other day.
Laying in bed and unwinding until you have the energy to actually get out of bed and be
productive. Except, it really wasn't. It was August of 2014, beginning of the school year. I had
lived on a street called Larsen Lane nearly all of my life, and had gone to the same school all my
life, too. We should've been getting ready for school, but our parents decided we should take the
day off. This kind of unwinding was different because my brother and I had slept on just
mattresses; our bed frames had already been packed. Our room was just plain. The blue walls had
stayed here ever since we had got them painted years ago, but that was it. The stickers we
collected on our sliding glass doors to our closet were all taken off. I laid there, bland and lifeless,
on the verge of tears even, thinking about the choice that could set me up for middle school. Our
mom settled herself in bed with us, comforting us so we would couldn't get too overwhelmed by the
emotions of leaving behind our old life.

The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning,
revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved
significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found
writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties,
and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear
understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is proofreading my own
work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at
understanding the basic principles of...show more content...
Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the
course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments
each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers
without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an
argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good
proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical
errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I
wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my
argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such
as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my
writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing
process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my
strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the
structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills
necessary to properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of

Great Expectations Research Paper
It was Pliny the Younger who said, "An object in possession seldom retains the same charm that it
had in pursuit." This idea is sometimes referred to as the thrill of the chase. The excitement of the
thought of finally achieving a goal or obtaining some object often serves pleasure and excite the
person more than actually achieving it. When someone finally achieves his/her goal, he/she often
finds it less satisfying then was expected. Throughout anyone's life, he/she has likely experienced a
time in which this occurred and the final reward proved to be less rewarding than he/she had
expected. As people desire for and strive to achieve or obtain something, they often raise their
expectations and fool themselves into thinking the reward will be much more gratifying than it
actually is; furthermore, this idea says much about human nature and brings to attention much...show

As someone experiences the thrill of the chase and strives to achieve his/her goal, he/she
inadvertently raises their own expectations of how rewarding it will be to finally achieve it. A
prime example of this is seen in Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. The main character Pip holds
these titular great expectations and through his own doing he convinces himself that these
expectations will come true and will be great. As Pip did in this novel, humans often convince
themselves that their expectations will be much more fruitful and rewarding than they will
actually be. The desire to achieve those goals is what pushes people forward; subsequently, the
ensuing reward is disappointing when compared to the expectations that were held. I have
experienced this many times in a way many others likely have; when some new and supposedly
improved product is released, I often convince myself that I need this product. Incidentally, it is
never as good as I had led myself to

Executive Summary The purpose of this paper is to analyze various techniques and applying
knowledge gained to improve Acme Mexico City's operations. The three operations management
techniques to be analyzed are: Data–driven decision making, linear programming, and sustainable
supply chain management. This report finds that data–driven decision making involves the
collection, combining and crunching of data received from multiple sources throughout the
organization. The technique can contribute to the improvement of Acme's decision making process

What are the costs involved? What training is needed to use the technique? What else is needed?
The costs associated with data–driven decision–making can fluctuate from a small minimum to a
huge maximum; it depends on the value of information in the data. Operations management should
work closely with their executives to identify:
What learning strengths and weaknesses are evident in the data?
Which groups or subgroups of workers are having difficulty learning?
What professional development is needed to improve employee's learning?
What materials and equipment are needed to support changes in operational processes?
At Acme What is the Problem, Opportunity, or Challenge to be Addressed?
Considering that this is the first international expansion the Acme is undertaking, the likelihood of
problems, opportunity, and challenges are possible. Several factors exists that may increase the
chance for Acme to incur issues. The data–driven decision making process helps to frame the
problems that may affect completing the project within the prescribed time, the allocated budget, and
the scope. Acme gathers data from their customers, suppliers, partners, and competitors;

Reflection Paper On Simulation Experience
I am proud of the knowledge I've gained over these past seven weeks in terms of not only technical
skills, but communication and collaboration skills as well! I was fortunate enough to be able to go
into this semester having had a wonderful experience this summer through the Geary Co–Op, which
helped me gain important technical nursing skills, though this experience did not teach me to be half
the team member that I am now thanks to this simulation experience. And while that's perhaps the
biggest takeaway I've gained from this course, there certainly are others!
Going into this semester, the areas in which I acknowledged that I needed to make great
improvements were with reading cardiac rhythm strips, understanding causes and manifestations of
abnormal lab values, and with improving interdisciplinary communication. Our cardiac rhythm
/mock code simulation day was very helpful for me, and the way David was able to simplify the
broad subject of reading strips during his mini–lecture that day was so enlightening. Since that
simulation lab, I have found myself having a much easier time reading strips and identifying
abnormal rhythms in clinicals and on exams. I had no idea that my confidence in this area would
grow so much in such a short amount of time.
I really appreciate that in many of the cases with which we worked during simulation had
components of interpreting different lab values, another aspect of nursing care on which I wanted to
focus. The biggest piece of feedback

Podcasts And Content Marketing Essay
Content marketing began as a simple concept; one simply wrote blogs and articles related to
specific products and/or services and promoted them; however, content creation in 2018 has come
full circle. Businesses today have tried to keep up with content trends and have used different tools
to promote content in 2018.
Podcasts and Content Marketing
One of these content trends is the use of podcasts. Keep in mind that podcasting has been used by
many professions for quite some time now but its use in content marketing is relatively new.
Podcasting is fast catching. Approximately 40% people in the US listen to at least one podcast on a
regular basis. This trend has been observed in both genders. In addition, podcast listeners often buy

Format: Set up your basic show format. There is no right or wrong way to set up a podcast. The
important thing is that you feel comfortable with the entire idea, flow, and format. Some podcasters
ask questions from the listeners, others only provide a running commentary, and yet others wait
until the end to answer questions. However, for effective content creation in 2018, it might be a
good idea to interview an expert who answers relevant questions. This way you can provide your
audience with a more credible source and you also don't have to answer every question that your
audience may ask.
Length: Remember, a podcast should not go on forever. Most people keep it for 45–60 minutes. This
seems like an appropriate length because anything longer than this could bore your listeners and
force them to sign off.
Engaging the listeners: One of the most critical elements of a podcast is that it should have content
that is both engaging and interesting for the audience. An effective way to do so is by picking up
trending topics, invite guests and experts and keep the flow of information smooth and relevant.
Your audience wants to learn something and they want to derive information from your podcast.
You need to make sure you are able to provide the information. Therefore, your best content advice

The Tortoise And The Hare Essay
As a child I really enjoyed reading books, this may been because my mother and father would try
to read to me each night before bed. One of my favorite bedtime stories would be Aesop 's fable
particularly the Tortoise and the Hare. Although the Hare was talented and had all the fittings to be
a champion, despite that his arrogance made him lose the race when he decided to sleep during the
race. To this day I have personally resonated with the idea of the underdog overcoming any
obstacles, and that is what the tortoise signifies. The tortoise understood that although he was not in
the best position to win the race instead of giving up and not competing he took his neck out of
shell, tried his best, and persevered which caused him the victory.
I truly resonate with the Tortoise in this fable because of their idealistic, dedicated, and
hardworking personality. Another reason would be the tortoise 's ability to be able to retreat
into their shell when ever they pleased. Depending on the situation and how uncomfortable I am
I can pull into my shell for protection and comfort. In addition tortoises are difficult to get to
know because of their shell and they come off as private, reserved, and self conscious. Even
though I believe that all people are equal, yet sometimes I lack confidence and doubt myself. You
can see this if you monitor me in the classroom and in sport. My coach will always say "Bema at the
beginning of a race your body language tells me you don 't belong

During this semester, I have learned a great deal about my own writing, and writing in general.
One of the main takeaways from this course for me was how to break down the intricate process of
writing papers. In addition, I developed viable skills regarding going into more in–depth detail
during each step of the writing process. I enjoyed having the freedom to write about a topic that I
was able to choose. This allowed me to research and write about something that actually interested
me immensely. Having to work with one topic for the entire semester taught me how to find reliable
resources and how to pick out the essential research from each article. Our first assignment, the

also made writing the research paper easier because I had already written about what the main
points were for each of the articles. With little editing, I could use the summaries of the resources
in my paper. I used this method of finding resources for the added resources in my paper as well.
This assignment also helped with the editing process and making revisions. Having the important
research already written before writing my research paper made me read over what I had written to
find what parts should actually be incorporated into my paper. Originally, I used the facts right out
of the article, but when I went back and completed revisions, I realized

When I signed up for the Writing 101 course, I did not have many expectations. I knew that I
would learn the proper way to format sentences, use punctuation, and write/revise essays. I have
always had a hard time finding the grammar and proper word usage mistakes in my own essays and
I would like to think that this class has helped me to refine my writing skills. Moreover, this class
has also helped me to delve deeper into my interests and further examine my family life.
The first week we learned about different ways to pre–write an essay in order to better organize our
thoughts and outline an essay. I hadn't used prewriting techniques since the last time that I was in
college and being reminded of it in this class allowed me to utilize the skill in my other classes
and better my writing there. Next, we learned about how to write a full and informative thesis
statement that was able to pull the beginning of the paper together and outline, to the intended
audience, how the paper would be set up. We also learned about how to use the library search
provided by the University of Maryland University College. Learning how to maneuver through
this source not only helped me find research for both the compare and contrast essay and the cause
and effects essay, but helped me to research topics for the sociology classes that I am currently
taking. Writing 101 allowed me to write essays that were not only relevant to the class, but also
relevant and relatable to my family life.

The Reflection Of My Writing As A Writer
After looking back at all the writing I have accomplished in this class and experiences I have
faced in other English classes, I realized how they have affected me as a writer and where I stand
as one as of now. The writer I am today has been greatly benefited with years of learning English
in school and other literacy sponsors. Throughout the years, I have learned a number of ways to
write and I have been positively impacted by these methods. I now know the type of writer that I
am and how I write best and in under which conditions. Now, I have my own writing process that
most likely differs from my peers. A writing process is the steps an individual takes in order to
produce a form of writing. According to The Alton L. Wilmer Writing Center, "Creating a
successful paper is a different process for everyone. Some writers require complete silence with no
distractions, while other crave noise while they work." When conducting a paper, I go through the
prewriting, drafting, revision, and editing process. The prewriting process is important to the final
draft of my paper since it helps me organize my thoughts in which I can then find the focus of my
paper. During the drafting process, I tend to just write everything that comes to mind. It motivates
me to keep writing to the point that all my ideas are typed. I then rearrange them where they best
flow and make sense. My rough drafts are, as Anne Lamott claims, "a shitty rough draft." When it
comes to the revision and editing

Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to
prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing
especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits
in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfectessay, story, letter, and
assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will
improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different
point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting
feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me
improve.
Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on
more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I
disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the
way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point.
Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative
with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps
writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this
is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole
essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that
helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was
one of the easiest things about writing the essay.
Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a
teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of
protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the
essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic
errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't

Serious Case Reviews in Childcare Sector
Unit 25Understand how to Safeguard the Wellbeing of Children and Young People
Outcome 1.4
Explain when and why inquiries and serious case reviews are required and how the sharing of the
findings informs practice.
Serious Case Reviews (SCR's) are undertaken when a child dies (including death by suspected
suicide), by a local authority (and more often than not by the Local Children's Safeguarding Board)
if abuse or neglect is known or suspected to be a factor in the death. SCR's are not enquiries into
how a child died or who was responsible; that is a matter for the Coroner's and Criminal Courts to
determine. Instead the purpose of Serious Case Reviews is to:
Establish whether there are lessons to be learned from the case...show more content...
The inquiry, chaired by Lord Laming, found massive failings on the part of as many as twelve
agencies with a role to play in protecting children. The findings led to recommendations for a radical
reform of services, particularly in the areas of better joined up working and information sharing.
Following this, several programmes and frameworks were later implemented into all establishments
that worked with children, and these included "Every Child Matters" services, planned around
children's and young people's needs and the improvement of the five key outcomes which contribute
to their well–being: be healthy, stay safe, enjoy & achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve
economic well–being. There was also the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework
(CAF) system which enables multi agencies to access and add information about a child's needs.
The CAF is used at the earliest opportunity when it is highlighted that a baby, child or young
person may need help in their lives in order to progress. It is used when there is concern about a
child, or agencies have recognised a child has additional needs, that require further exploration and a
multi–agency response. The assessment provides further information and understanding of the child's
circumstances.
Another more recently publicised incident, included the review into "Little Teds" nursery whereby a

An evaluation plan is one of the most critical elements of a project because it helps to measure the
project's success. In addition, the evaluation plan provides information that allows for adjustments

are four types of evaluations (Benchmark Evaluation, Formative Evaluation, Summative Evaluation
and Impact or Outcome Evaluation.) My organization has opted to utilize the Benchmark Evaluation
type. Howlett, et. al., describes the Benchmark Evaluation as follows, "before you begin your work,
you must document the current situation so that measurements taken during and after project
implementation can be compared to the starting point." (Baseline) (p.124) There are, however;
some aspects of the other Evaluation types that can be beneficial. For example, the Formative
Evaluation allows for collecting continuous feedback from participants in the program, which will
enable the program to be revised, if needed. The Summative Evaluation allows for collecting data on
the impact of a program after a year of operation in the community. Lastly, the Impact or Outcome
Evaluation type evaluates what has changed with individuals, groups, the community and/or the
knowledge base as a result of the project. The Benchmark Evaluation, which we have chosen as our
primary evaluation tool, will provide data that can be used to assess the larger

Enhancing the quality of basic education in the Philippines is urgent and critical. Because of that,
one of the discussions of DepEd is to enhance the basic education program in the country in a
manner that is least disruptive to the current curriculum most affordable for government and
families, and aligned with international practice through the K–12 policy. The poor quality of basic
training is reflected in lower achievement scores of Filipino students. Many students who complete

There will be no need to study again and spend more money in order to qualify for their standards.
With this, Filipino professionals who aspire to work abroad will not find a hard time in getting jobs
in line with their chosen field and will be able to help their families more in the Philippines as well
as the country's economy with their remittances, property buying, and creation of businesses.
Filipinos are known to be competitive in the international community. While this may be true, our
current education system hinders us in becoming more competitive among other countries. The K–
12 education plan offers a great solution to that problem. However, it is undeniable that there seem
to be problems arising as we implement the program such as lack of government budget, classrooms
and school supplies as well as the teachers. But, if we focus on the long– term effect of K– 12, we
can conclude that it is very beneficial to us Filipinos. Therefore, we must have the strong will in
supporting K– 12 Educational Plan for the betterment of our education system and economy.

Reflection Of Creative Writing
It is my belief that through this class and the tools provided, that my growth as a writer has grown
through leaps and bounds I would never have assumed possible. It is not so much the skill I refer
to, although I would think skill has gone up in some levels as well, but more so the appreciation for
the craft of writing itself. Intially, at the start of this class my sole goal was to further my
understanding and appreciation of the writer's and books that I so love to read. Through further
evaluation within the first week, a few other goals came to mind, of which were, making writing
a habit, finishing what I start, stop second guess my writing skills and making effective use of
detail and description. Through the use of the many articles, various reading materials, whether
poems or short stories, and especially through the workshop, I feel I was able to really push
myself to accomplishing these goals. I have thus far learned how important it is not to be skilled
at writing per say, but to have the will to write, that poetry is as much about it's sound as it is about
it's subject, just how important character development is, how the narration and point of view of a
story is essential to the way the story is told, and just how much of a difference peer's critiques can
make to your writing.
Since before the beginning of this creative writing course, I have always struggled to find a point to
writing. By this, I mean that I always felt that having great skill and talent was what was required
to be a writer, let alone a great one. From this point, I felt there was no need to continue my
writing as I felt that in a sense it just wasn't good enough. However, reading the article "A Way of
Writing", I found new hope. Here was a writer who says things such as "I must be willing to fail. If
I am to keep on writing, I cannot bother to insist on high standards. I must get into action and not let
anything stop me, or even slow me much"(Stafford) and quotes that writers don't necessarily have
any special talent. The article "Why I Write" instilled further optimism through the authors view on
just being a writer, not focusing on being good or bad. I found her words in which she writes
"entirely to find out what I'm

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On Moving Day The scene outside, rainy and gloomy, sets an eerie tone. This isn't the typical August weather, but we're not concerned at all. It'll only make our jobs more difficult in this harsh downpour. As a matter of fact, my parents have been waiting for this day ever since they made their choice. My voice didn't matter as much, so I had two choices. I had tried preparing myself by opting for one of the choices. However, that wasn't the case on moving day. My day started like every other day. Laying in bed and unwinding until you have the energy to actually get out of bed and be productive. Except, it really wasn't. It was August of 2014, beginning of the school year. I had lived on a street called Larsen Lane nearly all of my life, and had gone to the same school all my life, too. We should've been getting ready for school, but our parents decided we should take the day off. This kind of unwinding was different because my brother and I had slept on just mattresses; our bed frames had already been packed. Our room was just plain. The blue walls had stayed here ever since we had got them painted years ago, but that was it. The stickers we collected on our sliding glass doors to our closet were all taken off. I laid there, bland and lifeless, on the verge of tears even, thinking about the choice that could set me up for middle school. Our mom settled herself in bed with us, comforting us so we would couldn't get too overwhelmed by the emotions of leaving behind our old life. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning, revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past semester, the quality of my writing has evolved significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties, and helped to inspire confidence in my skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is proofreading my own work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at understanding the basic principles of...show more content... Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the course, I have spent considerable time developing that technique. The body of my arguments each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the papers without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills necessary to properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of my time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Great Expectations Research Paper It was Pliny the Younger who said, "An object in possession seldom retains the same charm that it had in pursuit." This idea is sometimes referred to as the thrill of the chase. The excitement of the thought of finally achieving a goal or obtaining some object often serves pleasure and excite the person more than actually achieving it. When someone finally achieves his/her goal, he/she often finds it less satisfying then was expected. Throughout anyone's life, he/she has likely experienced a time in which this occurred and the final reward proved to be less rewarding than he/she had expected. As people desire for and strive to achieve or obtain something, they often raise their expectations and fool themselves into thinking the reward will be much more gratifying than it actually is; furthermore, this idea says much about human nature and brings to attention much...show more content... As someone experiences the thrill of the chase and strives to achieve his/her goal, he/she inadvertently raises their own expectations of how rewarding it will be to finally achieve it. A prime example of this is seen in Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. The main character Pip holds these titular great expectations and through his own doing he convinces himself that these expectations will come true and will be great. As Pip did in this novel, humans often convince themselves that their expectations will be much more fruitful and rewarding than they will actually be. The desire to achieve those goals is what pushes people forward; subsequently, the ensuing reward is disappointing when compared to the expectations that were held. I have experienced this many times in a way many others likely have; when some new and supposedly improved product is released, I often convince myself that I need this product. Incidentally, it is never as good as I had led myself to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

What are the costs involved? What training is needed to use the technique? What else is needed? Operations management should work closely with their executives to identify: What learning strengths and weaknesses are evident in the data? Which groups or subgroups of workers are having difficulty learning? What professional development is needed to improve employee's learning? What materials and equipment are needed to support changes in operational processes? At Acme What is the Problem, Opportunity, or Challenge to be Addressed? • 5. Reflection Paper On Simulation Experience I am proud of the knowledge I've gained over these past seven weeks in terms of not only technical skills, but communication and collaboration skills as well! I was fortunate enough to be able to go into this semester having had a wonderful experience this summer through the Geary Co–Op, which helped me gain important technical nursing skills, though this experience did not teach me to be half the team member that I am now thanks to this simulation experience. And while that's perhaps the biggest takeaway I've gained from this course, there certainly are others! Going into this semester, the areas in which I acknowledged that I needed to make great improvements were with reading cardiac rhythm strips, understanding causes and manifestations of abnormal lab values, and with improving interdisciplinary communication. Our cardiac rhythm /mock code simulation day was very helpful for me, and the way David was able to simplify the broad subject of reading strips during his mini–lecture that day was so enlightening. Since that simulation lab, I have found myself having a much easier time reading strips and identifying abnormal rhythms in clinicals and on exams. I had no idea that my confidence in this area would grow so much in such a short amount of time. I really appreciate that in many of the cases with which we worked during simulation had components of interpreting different lab values, another aspect of nursing care on which I wanted to focus. • 6. Podcasts And Content Marketing Essay Content marketing began as a simple concept; one simply wrote blogs and articles related to specific products and/or services and promoted them; however, content creation in 2018 has come full circle. Businesses today have tried to keep up with content trends and have used different tools to promote content in 2018. Podcasts and Content Marketing One of these content trends is the use of podcasts. Keep in mind that podcasting has been used by many professions for quite some time now but its use in content marketing is relatively new. Podcasting is fast catching. Approximately 40% people in the US listen to at least one podcast on a regular basis. This trend has been observed in both genders. In addition, podcast listeners often buy ...show more content... Format: Set up your basic show format. There is no right or wrong way to set up a podcast. The important thing is that you feel comfortable with the entire idea, flow, and format. Some podcasters ask questions from the listeners, others only provide a running commentary, and yet others wait until the end to answer questions. However, for effective content creation in 2018, it might be a good idea to interview an expert who answers relevant questions. This way you can provide your audience with a more credible source and you also don't have to answer every question that your audience may ask. Length: Remember, a podcast should not go on forever. Most people keep it for 45–60 minutes. This seems like an appropriate length because anything longer than this could bore your listeners and force them to sign off. Engaging the listeners: One of the most critical elements of a podcast is that it should have content that is both engaging and interesting for the audience. An effective way to do so is by picking up trending topics, invite guests and experts and keep the flow of information smooth and relevant. Your audience wants to learn something and they want to derive information from your podcast. You need to make sure you are able to provide the information. Therefore, your best content advice in 2018 is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. The Tortoise And The Hare Essay As a child I really enjoyed reading books, this may been because my mother and father would try to read to me each night before bed. One of my favorite bedtime stories would be Aesop 's fable particularly the Tortoise and the Hare. Although the Hare was talented and had all the fittings to be a champion, despite that his arrogance made him lose the race when he decided to sleep during the race. To this day I have personally resonated with the idea of the underdog overcoming any obstacles, and that is what the tortoise signifies. The tortoise understood that although he was not in the best position to win the race instead of giving up and not competing he took his neck out of shell, tried his best, and persevered which caused him the victory. I truly resonate with the Tortoise in this fable because of their idealistic, dedicated, and hardworking personality. Another reason would be the tortoise 's ability to be able to retreat into their shell when ever they pleased. Depending on the situation and how uncomfortable I am I can pull into my shell for protection and comfort. In addition tortoises are difficult to get to know because of their shell and they come off as private, reserved, and self conscious. Even though I believe that all people are equal, yet sometimes I lack confidence and doubt myself. You can see this if you monitor me in the classroom and in sport. My coach will always say "Bema at the beginning of a race your body language tells me you don 't belong Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. During this semester, I have learned a great deal about my own writing, and writing in general. One of the main takeaways from this course for me was how to break down the intricate process of writing papers. In addition, I developed viable skills regarding going into more in–depth detail during each step of the writing process. I enjoyed having the freedom to write about a topic that I was able to choose. This allowed me to research and write about something that actually interested me immensely. Having to work with one topic for the entire semester taught me how to find reliable resources and how to pick out the essential research from each article. When I corrected this citation, it looked like this: Jamieson, Jennifer A, and Laura Gougeon. "Gluten–Free Foods in Rural Maritime Provinces: Limited Availability, High Price, and Low Iron Content." Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research, 11 Aug. 2017, dcjournal.ca/doi/abs/10.3148 /cjdpr–2017–020 The annotated bibliography is the assignment that helped me the greatest while I was writing my research paper. For instance, going through and finding the best sources and analyzing them allowed me to find what the main points of my research paper should be. This also made writing the research paper easier because I had already written about what the main points were for each of the articles. With little editing, I could use the summaries of the resources in my paper. I used this method of finding resources for the added resources in my paper as well. This assignment also helped with the editing process and making revisions. Having the important research already written before writing my research paper made me read over what I had written to find what parts should actually be incorporated into my paper. Originally, I used the facts right out of the article, but when I went back and completed revisions, I realized Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. When I signed up for the Writing 101 course, I did not have many expectations. I knew that I would learn the proper way to format sentences, use punctuation, and write/revise essays. I have always had a hard time finding the grammar and proper word usage mistakes in my own essays and I would like to think that this class has helped me to refine my writing skills. Moreover, this class has also helped me to delve deeper into my interests and further examine my family life. The first week we learned about different ways to pre–write an essay in order to better organize our thoughts and outline an essay. I hadn't used prewriting techniques since the last time that I was in college and being reminded of it in this class allowed me to utilize the skill in my other classes and better my writing there. Next, we learned about how to write a full and informative thesis statement that was able to pull the beginning of the paper together and outline, to the intended audience, how the paper would be set up. We also learned about how to use the library search provided by the University of Maryland University College. Learning how to maneuver through this source not only helped me find research for both the compare and contrast essay and the cause and effects essay, but helped me to research topics for the sociology classes that I am currently taking. Writing 101 allowed me to write essays that were not only relevant to the class, but also relevant and relatable to my family life. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. The Reflection Of My Writing As A Writer After looking back at all the writing I have accomplished in this class and experiences I have faced in other English classes, I realized how they have affected me as a writer and where I stand as one as of now. The writer I am today has been greatly benefited with years of learning English in school and other literacy sponsors. Throughout the years, I have learned a number of ways to write and I have been positively impacted by these methods. I now know the type of writer that I am and how I write best and in under which conditions. Now, I have my own writing process that most likely differs from my peers. A writing process is the steps an individual takes in order to produce a form of writing. According to The Alton L. Wilmer Writing Center, "Creating a successful paper is a different process for everyone. Some writers require complete silence with no distractions, while other crave noise while they work." When conducting a paper, I go through the prewriting, drafting, revision, and editing process. The prewriting process is important to the final draft of my paper since it helps me organize my thoughts in which I can then find the focus of my paper. During the drafting process, I tend to just write everything that comes to mind. It motivates me to keep writing to the point that all my ideas are typed. I then rearrange them where they best flow and make sense. My rough drafts are, as Anne Lamott claims, "a shitty rough draft." When it comes to the revision and editing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfectessay, story, letter, and assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me improve. Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay. Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Serious Case Reviews in Childcare Sector Unit 25Understand how to Safeguard the Wellbeing of Children and Young People Outcome 1.4 Explain when and why inquiries and serious case reviews are required and how the sharing of the findings informs practice. Serious Case Reviews (SCR's) are undertaken when a child dies (including death by suspected suicide), by a local authority (and more often than not by the Local Children's Safeguarding Board) if abuse or neglect is known or suspected to be a factor in the death. SCR's are not enquiries into how a child died or who was responsible; that is a matter for the Coroner's and Criminal Courts to determine. Instead the purpose of Serious Case Reviews is to: Establish whether there are lessons to be learned from the case...show more content... The inquiry, chaired by Lord Laming, found massive failings on the part of as many as twelve agencies with a role to play in protecting children. The findings led to recommendations for a radical reform of services, particularly in the areas of better joined up working and information sharing. Following this, several programmes and frameworks were later implemented into all establishments that worked with children, and these included "Every Child Matters" services, planned around children's and young people's needs and the improvement of the five key outcomes which contribute to their well–being: be healthy, stay safe, enjoy & achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well–being. There was also the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) system which enables multi agencies to access and add information about a child's needs. The CAF is used at the earliest opportunity when it is highlighted that a baby, child or young person may need help in their lives in order to progress. It is used when there is concern about a child, or agencies have recognised a child has additional needs, that require further exploration and a multi–agency response. The assessment provides further information and understanding of the child's circumstances. Another more recently publicised incident, included the review into "Little Teds" nursery whereby a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. An evaluation plan is one of the most critical elements of a project because it helps to measure the project's success. In addition, the evaluation plan provides information that allows for adjustments /improvements during project development and implementation. According to Howlett, et. al., there are four types of evaluations (Benchmark Evaluation, Formative Evaluation, Summative Evaluation and Impact or Outcome Evaluation.) My organization has opted to utilize the Benchmark Evaluation type. Howlett, et. al., describes the Benchmark Evaluation as follows, "before you begin your work, you must document the current situation so that measurements taken during and after project implementation can be compared to the starting point." (Baseline) (p.124) There are, however; some aspects of the other Evaluation types that can be beneficial. For example, the Formative Evaluation allows for collecting continuous feedback from participants in the program, which will enable the program to be revised, if needed. The Summative Evaluation allows for collecting data on the impact of a program after a year of operation in the community. Lastly, the Impact or Outcome Evaluation type evaluates what has changed with individuals, groups, the community and/or the knowledge base as a result of the project. The Benchmark Evaluation, which we have chosen as our primary evaluation tool, will provide data that can be used to assess the larger Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Chapter 1 Problem and its Background Introduction Enhancing the quality of basic education in the Philippines is urgent and critical. Because of that, one of the discussions of DepEd is to enhance the basic education program in the country in a manner that is least disruptive to the current curriculum most affordable for government and families, and aligned with international practice through the K–12 policy. There will be no need to study again and spend more money in order to qualify for their standards. With this, Filipino professionals who aspire to work abroad will not find a hard time in getting jobs in line with their chosen field and will be able to help their families more in the Philippines as well as the country's economy with their remittances, property buying, and creation of businesses. Filipinos are known to be competitive in the international community. While this may be true, our current education system hinders us in becoming more competitive among other countries. The K– 12 education plan offers a great solution to that problem. However, it is undeniable that there seem to be problems arising as we implement the program such as lack of government budget, classrooms and school supplies as well as the teachers. But, if we focus on the long– term effect of K– 12, we can conclude that it is very beneficial to us Filipinos. Therefore, we must have the strong will in supporting K– 12 Educational Plan for the betterment of our education system and economy. Remember, if we want change in our society, we must start it with our education system. The researchers choose this topic "Awareness and Enthusiasm to the K 12 Curriculum" Every Filipino child now has access to early childhood education through Universal Kindergarten. • 17. Reflection Of Creative Writing It is my belief that through this class and the tools provided, that my growth as a writer has grown through leaps and bounds I would never have assumed possible. It is not so much the skill I refer to, although I would think skill has gone up in some levels as well, but more so the appreciation for the craft of writing itself. Intially, at the start of this class my sole goal was to further my understanding and appreciation of the writer's and books that I so love to read. Through further evaluation within the first week, a few other goals came to mind, of which were, making writing a habit, finishing what I start, stop second guess my writing skills and making effective use of detail and description. Through the use of the many articles, various reading materials, whether poems or short stories, and especially through the workshop, I feel I was able to really push myself to accomplishing these goals. I have thus far learned how important it is not to be skilled at writing per say, but to have the will to write, that poetry is as much about it's sound as it is about it's subject, just how important character development is, how the narration and point of view of a story is essential to the way the story is told, and just how much of a difference peer's critiques can make to your writing. Since before the beginning of this creative writing course, I have always struggled to find a point to writing. By this, I mean that I always felt that having great skill and talent was what was required to be a writer, let alone a great one. From this point, I felt there was no need to continue my writing as I felt that in a sense it just wasn't good enough. However, reading the article "A Way of Writing", I found new hope. Here was a writer who says things such as "I must be willing to fail. If I am to keep on writing, I cannot bother to insist on high standards. I must get into action and not let anything stop me, or even slow me much"(Stafford) and quotes that writers don't necessarily have any special talent. The article "Why I Write" instilled further optimism through the authors view on just being a writer, not focusing on being good or bad. I found her words in which she writes "entirely to find out what I'm Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. How To Revise My Writing Writing is an art that you either love or hate in a sense. My time as a student in the past use to be the type that despised writing after the knowledge I gained from this course that has really changed. The problem came was not knowing how to revise my writings. Revising is a tool that is just as important in developing a paper than writing it. I was the type of author to think everything I wrote was perfect and wouldn't take revising as a serious step. With this drawback fixed I've taken huge notice in how my papers sound and grade on an academic level. This course had many challenging aspects within the material that me as a person had to overcome. One of the most challenging aspects for me was learning to be more sociable to a private group Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My composing techniques have slightly changed since I began this course, I learned the important aspects of using a rough draft. At the beginning of this semester I would spend more time writing down my thoughts on a paper then organizing my thoughts within the rough draft. I learned that it is ineffective for me to just write down my ideas on a paper with no purpose because I tend to jumble my words. By Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Two hundred and seventy witnesses were called between September 2001 and July 2002 which had been extended due to late submission of documents. Phase two, took the form of five seminars, which looked at the child protection system as a whole, and involved experts in all aspects of child protection.
