tourism background coupled with my travel agent traineeship would be appropriate for this
position.
Throughout my education, training and work experience, I have acquired a number of
relevant skills useful for the advertised position:
Professional travel arrangements for business and holiday customers
Optimal planning solutions matching the customers’ requirements and preferences
High skills in planning and arranging tour packages and excursions for adventure
trips
In-depth knowledge of finding fare and schedule information
Solid calculation of total travel costs
Hands-on experience in booking reservations for journey, hotels, rental cars and
individual events
Furthermore, I am able to communicate in English and French fluently. As I have always
been interested in travelling, my geographical knowledge is excellent. I have solid IT skills
and can pick up new systems and procedures quickly. During my exchange visits at school I
have early learned a lot about foreign cultures. Combined with my private travel experience I
acquired a high level of intercultural competence. My leadership of a local basketball team
for many years helped me to shape my organizational and managerial skills. I am friendly
and enthusiastic and understand the importance of excellence in customer service.
