Being a writer / poetess I have been trying to mould thought‐pattern of society through my
poems. Stories, articles and lectures.
1.Especially for women and children….. My poems on female foeticide are being received
well in the society through mass recitation in live programs(Farrukhabad(UP),
Chidawa(Rajasthan), Meerut, Hapur(UP)and New Delhi) , Tv shows(Janta TV) , You tube
videos and my profiles On Social sites like Facebook , Twitter, Google plus and an
Independent Blog , too. I have noteworthy reach of above fifty thousand on Facebook.

2.Through hobby art classes in Various NGOs .. I have tried to make the Girls and women of
varied age groups skilled in fabric , glass, ceramic and pot painting etc so that they become
self‐dependent.
3. As an alert citizen and a poetess‐I participated along with my daughter in ‘Tu Hi Re’ a stage
show supporting the national cause of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (February 2016) and won

‘Beti bachao, Beti padhao’ in July 2016

6. 2016 even at the age of 49plus ……. It really went a long way to boost housewives self
confidence that being a housewife is no end to life’s creativity and will to carry on doing
something for society. Won two awards, too.
6.On 8th
March 2016 delivered a lecture on the issue of ‘Gender Sensitization’ at Employee
State Insurance Corporation’s Head office in New Delhi. This issue is very rarely understood in
correct sense. Most men and women take to be gender bias. Correct understanding is very
essential for female births and even dignity of half of the population i.e. women.
7. On 30 th March 2016 …. Presented a research paper on important subject of ‘Cotemporary
Hindi novel and women rights and concerns’ organized by ‘Vidhi Bharti Parishad ‘(Regd) and
Central Hindi Nideshalay , Human Resource Development Ministry . The research paper was
based on the novel ‘Paritapt Lankeshwari’ written by Her Highness Sushri Mridula Sinhaji
…and focused on –‘The character of some women being looked down upon and neglected in
our Religious texts such as Tulsidas’ and Balmiki’s Ramayana …. Such as Mandodri –Ravan’s
wife and through her deliberation on the rise and fall of women’s status and Men’s role.
8. Helped an NGO in East Delhi working towards distribution of old clothes to needy women
and children(25th
December 2015).
9. ‘Rashtreey Shikshak Sanchetna’ ‘shabd sadhika manch’ and ‘True media’( in India Book of
Records) –editing and compilation of an issue(August 2016) totally devoted to Outstanding
Literary women was done by me which was then released jointly by Sh. TC Gehlot (Minister
of Social Rights and Justice ,Central Government) and Sh. Vijay Sampla (State Minister of
Social Rights and Justice)

What’s so spl about me……..
Dear sir/ Madam
Being a poet, writer, editor, anchor, teacher, nutritionist and human resource person is a
rare combination
Since I have been a graduate and post graduate in Home Science from Lady Irwin College,
a teacher by profession, a management graduate , skilled in hobby arts and a beauty
specialist along with the power of words ……… I have been contributing to wholesome
grooming of children and adults especially girls and women. Body, mind, talent and creative
skills are being enriched by my efforts, whosoever, comes in my circle of activity.
बेबसी, बेचारगी हो कब तलक /लड़ कय को सर उठाना आ गया
People say … ‘Your poetry depicts reality and thus has far reaching impact in bringing about a
change.’
Will and dedication to serve others , along with skills of communication, has given an edge to
my poetry. Rani Lakshmibai chose the sword but I chose PEN…… and that’s my tool to express
myself and to serve the nation.
All along my life, my aim has been to groom myself with education and other skills so that I
can contribute to my family, society and nation at large.

11. After completing my PG in nutrition, I worked as research associate and worked on Improving
Preschool Education. After completing B ED, I taught Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan,
New Delhi to utilize my teaching skills and contribute to shape the life of our future citizens.
Due to child birth and other circumstances , I had to restrict myself to home and I used that
time to further groom myself so I went on and did MBA through distance learning ..Though I
couldn’t do office jobs but still the knowledge and skills, I gained at that time, helped me
become a better manager of time , human relations and a better teacher, too.
Since 1998….means last 18 yrs I have been a tutor …and I have tried to shape personalities of
children beside imparting subject knowledge.
While being a trained Hobby art teacher ….. as mentioned earlier ….I trained many a women ,
girls and children and even men to become skilled enough to make it an earning option.So,
whenever I got the opportunity ,be it direct marketing of encyclopedias or be it beauty –
consultancy , I tried enriching women’s lives and children’s love for books .
Major change came in life when I actively wrote poems, ghazals, articles, reports , anchored
shows , took interviews on radio , electronic media , print media and so on ……. My sphere of
activities enlarged and they are having a positive impact on various sectors of society.
Many a readers gave me feedback that they have used my compositions to motivate their
subordinates or colleagues. TV, Radio, Newspapers, Magazines, new media‐ Facebook,
Twitter, blogs and online portals have provided a mass reach to small actions taken by me.
I would like to illustrate this with just an example ..Though Facebook …My poem on ‘Swachh
Bharat’ became the basis for the large Cleanliness Drive undertaken by School children,
teachers and other staff of a school in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh and took all schools in the
area along. The poem sung with music .written on big, lifesize boards was on the lips of all
the children. The novel idea and thus the event got recognized and appreciated by
educationists , social workers, Administration Department and Print media covered it happily
far and wide. The officials of the local unit of Madhya Pradesh Education Board praised
openly the movement undertaken, especially the simple words of the poem which were
effective and easy for children.
Prime Minister’s favorite Drive –Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, too further added an impetus to
my writing, recitation and participating in other social events which were already focusing on

Last but not the least ….
Appreciation, admiration and Recognition, always, are a source of inspiration and motivate to
move further with greater vigour and enthusiasm. So, any prestigious award or recongnition
would boost my morale, strengthen my efforts and also, guiding me to be more useful to
society, nation and Humanity at large.
