6. INSPIRE Hackathon
• The INSPIRE Hackathon uses INSPIRE as its platform. From this
platform a network of satellite hackathons are supported to grow the
community in Europe and beyond. For the future evolution we
foresee to be able to organise preparations before hackathon events
(including coding) that might include input from problemathons,
ideathons and datathons – as input and preparations for future
INSPIRE hackathons.

7. Current situation
• Many projects is not able to guaranty long time sustenability
• Shortly (max. in few years) most of results are disappearing
• New projects are very often starting again from level 0 and repeating
the same mistake
• Data from previous projects are often not used again
• The different projects in the same domain are not cooperating

8. Objective 1.
• Main focus is on sustainability of (not only) EU research
• Focus more on connection of different project teams and initiatives
• Speed up project development
• Transfer of results from past projects into new activities and also to potential
businesses
• Exchange data and tools among running projects
• Support better utilization of results
• Re use data and tools

9. INSPIRE Hackathon
• The INSPIRE Hackathon ensures continuity of open data integrations
done in time limited efforts such as those in EU funded projects.
• The INSPIRE Hackathon contributes to capacity building and
education of open data policy implementation and management

10. Objective 2 Linkage of INSPIRE, GEOSS,
Copernicus with every day life
• We would like support implementation GEOSS, Copernicus and
INSPIRE in Europe and World Wide and make them useful for every
day life
• We would like connect experts and young people to build solution on
the top of available infrastructure
• We would like join different projects activities to cooperate closely
exchange results and experience to tern results into business
• We would like support incubation of some ideas

12. Objective 3 Support for Interoperability
• Without interoperability doesn’t exist transferability of new Apps
from one region to other
• It is limiting potential of new applications and possibility to transfer
new interesting Apps from one region to other
• It is limiting grow of new SMEs to global scale
• We need not only discoverability of data, but also focus on semantic
interopeability

16. Two phasis
• THE FIRST PHASE of the Prague INSPIRE Hackathon 2019 starts before the
actual on-site hackathon. During the first phase, teams are formed and
registered, and preparation of team projects for the on-site hacking is
happening. You can create your own team with people you know or people
you’ve worked with before. Or you can can explore the existing ideas and
teams that have been already created and you can simply join them.
• THE SECOND PHASE includes the on-site hacking, presentation of results
and winning ceremony, 21-23 January 2019 at the Czech University of Life
Sciences in Prague. During the three days all projects will be finalised. All
the teams will be invited to present their projects on the last day. For this
reason, the teams should prepare presentations showing the results of
their hackathon projects
