4. God’s Mission....which is? Ephesians 1 is a good explanation; His mission started with creation, Is accomplished through Jesus, and “in the fullness of time will unite all things to him, things in heaven, and things on earth”.

8. Kingdom of God The lords prayer (Matt 6:10)..... “Your Kingdom come; Your will be done; On earth as in Heaven” What would that kingdom look like? On earth Within us RIGHTEOUSNESS JUSTICE PEACE
9. Kingdom of God A mission shaped church means being contextual – we must understand our local, national and cultural context if we want to build up the kingdom of God.
10. Mission is..... Universal (all encompassing; for all; to all) Motivated by God’s love Aims to restore relationships; and Aims to create worship Our mission needs to be aligned to God’s mission, and his vision is for end times of a new heaven and new earth where God reigns in Christ.
11. The Five Marks of Mission To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom To teach, baptise and nurture new believers To respond to human need by loving service To seek to transform unjust structures of society To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
12. We will focus on the first mark of mission....... To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom ...... because without 1. no-one will know the motives for our mission-shaped lives (i.e. living out marks 2-5), and we need to get better at proclaiming in daily lives as opportunities arise our witness about what Jesus means to each of us!
