Rationale
• Two key processes are driving service change:
personalisation and deinstitutionalisation
• Focus on quality of life and individual needs
• Growing understanding of the right to live
independently, in the community, to choose where and
with whom to live and to receive support in order to
enjoy this right
• Right to housing
Address a need for Vocational and Educational Training
for staff working with people with different support
needs

About Project

• Funded by Lifelong Learning Program
• Duration: October 2013 to September 2015
• 14 partners from 8 EU Member States
Objectives
• Contribute to fight against housing exclusion of
groups with support needs by improving
cooperation between social services workers and
housing staff;
• Transfer innovative learning outcomes and
training material on housing and integrated
support to tailored training at local level in 7 EU
member states;
• Co-producing these training modules with
citizens to make them identify what services they
need.

• STAFF in the housing and social support sector
• USERS: persons with support needs including:
– persons with disabilities
– persons with mental health issues
– persons with experience of homelessness

Outcomes of the project
1. Developed a shared set of European core
learning outcomes
2. Developed a training pack with co-production
elements
3. Dissemination and promotion of the training
across Europe

Ensuring quality services:
Experience of ELOSH
• Focus on individual needs and wishes
• Deliver services in co-production with the
users
• Cooperation across sectors (housing and
support services)
• Promoting the enjoyment of human rights

7a M-Care: ELOSH project

Rationale • Two key processes are driving service change: personalisation and deinstitutionalisation • Focus on quality of life and individual needs • Growing understanding of the right to live independently, in the community, to choose where and with whom to live and to receive support in order to enjoy this right • Right to housing Address a need for Vocational and Educational Training for staff working with people with different support needs 3
  • 4. About Project 4 • Funded by Lifelong Learning Program • Duration: October 2013 to September 2015 • 14 partners from 8 EU Member States
  • 5. Objectives • Contribute to fight against housing exclusion of groups with support needs by improving cooperation between social services workers and housing staff; • Transfer innovative learning outcomes and training material on housing and integrated support to tailored training at local level in 7 EU member states; • Co-producing these training modules with citizens to make them identify what services they need. 5
  • 6. Target • STAFF in the housing and social support sector • USERS: persons with support needs including: – persons with disabilities – persons with mental health issues – persons with experience of homelessness 6
  • 7. Outcomes of the project 1. Developed a shared set of European core learning outcomes 2. Developed a training pack with co-production elements 3. Dissemination and promotion of the training across Europe 7
  • 8. Ensuring quality services: Experience of ELOSH • Focus on individual needs and wishes • Deliver services in co-production with the users • Cooperation across sectors (housing and support services) • Promoting the enjoyment of human rights 8
