3. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Emangadini Foundation introduces an African flagship advocating for Social Change.
The Founder, Dr. Zanelle Mngadi designed a project encompassing nine inter-connected
pillars of strength integrated for comprehensive development of a new generation of free thinkers.
The unique purpose of The Foundation is to integrate economic benefits with social needs to stimulate
economic growth from the grassroots, producing socially conscious leaders in our society.
At the centre of the project is The Emangadini Institute for Social Entrepreneurship, offering comprehensive development
of previously disadvantaged women; poignantly, the up-skilling of Social Work Professionals who are legal custodians of
vulnerable population in South Africa. All faculties offered within the Institute will be centres of excellence, which will
invigorate indigenous wisdom and encourage social cohesion.
Located on the lip of a world-renowned Heritage site, The Cradle of Humankind in Magaliesburg, The Institute is central,
enabling us to host the need from all nine provinces of South Africa. The Foundation provides a homely environment for
a multitude rotation of black, previously disadvantaged children, grooming them from birth, nurturing them to their full
potential, being it inspiriting them to embracing their culture, academic excellence or any avenue they choose to excel in.
Within this proposal is an outline covering the background of the Foundation, as well as an in depth explanation of the
original idea. The actualisation of the concept will require particular project management and teamwork skills, as the
multi-faceted project involves collaboration between a divergence of key professionals, contributing as strategic partners.
Methodology for the realisation of the concept is outlined with particular emphasis on the timelines and the team
required
during the staggered development phases of the project. In addition the proposal contains the artist’s rendition of visual
representation of different structures within the institute.
Lastly, the plan estimates capital expenditure for each of the nine pillars, which are the critical success factors for the
Foundation’s project over the staggered implementation period.
