The memorandum announces changes to the OMGE GLOBAL LANGUAGE ACADEMY's "Buddy System" effective December 1, 2019. The Buddy System pairs each student with a Buddy Teacher who is tasked with monitoring the student's academic progress and helping them fulfill their goals. It also includes a weekly Buddy Counselling Program where students have 10-minute one-on-one sessions with their Buddy Teacher to confidentially discuss and address any academic concerns. The sessions will be recorded on counselling forms and may also serve to evaluate the student's performance for Academic Managers.

We would like to inform you of the changes that have been made to our Academic Advisory to
Students effective December 1, 2019.
The OMGE GLOBAL LANGUAGE ACADEMY “Buddy System” has been created to further address
the Academic concerns of the students, and to help guide them to a better academic performance.
Each student will have a Buddy Teacher who takes care of their academic needs and monitor the
progress of the Buddy Student. The buddy teacher is tasked to focus on the buddy student’s
fulfillment of their goals while studying here.
There will be a Buddy Counselling Program which takes one session per week, to record, report, and
address the concerns of the student. The program will allow students to improve in their areas of
challenges.
The session shall commence every Friday of the week for 10 minutes in the man to man class of the
buddy teacher. The concerns raised shall be strictly confidential and all the information is available
only to Academic Managers and not to other students nor teachers.
Sessions will be recorded as the buddy teacher passes the counselling session form at the end of the
students’ study duration, and this document may also serve as student’s evaluation to their teachers.
