3. Absent Students If a student is ill, parents should call the school office 231-8957 If a student arrives after 9:00 A.M., the student will be marked absent for ½ day

Arrival and Departure A small area with a sign will be set near the curb on 10th street Please do not park, idle, or wait between these cones This will help keep the intersection clear and reduce the possibility for accidents Doors open at 7:40 and the day begins at 8:00 Dismissal is 3:00 Please use the designated crosswalk areas at all times so that the teachers on duty can focus on helping all of the children safely cross our streets

Before and After School Care Deb Paulsen Before 7:20, drop students off at main office and office will inform students which classroom to go to Between 7:20-7:40, drop students off on 10th Street to wait outside until doors open at 7:40 ASC 3:00-5:30 pm. Registration forms are available in the Narthex. Fill out a registration form and turn in $10 registration fee to the office if child will be using program Pre-paid program $10 minimum balance.
6. Lunch and Busing Both begin on September 1st When public school has early dismissal, Grace bus students will depart at 2:50. When public schools are not in session, there will be no busing or hot lunch for Grace students. If your child rides the bus, you should receive info in the next few days
7. School Lunch Program Milk begins on the first day of school Free and Reduced applications are available in the narthex Lunch prices are $2.60 and milk prices are $.40 Online payments are no longer able to be accepted Please keep a minimum balance of $10 in your account to avoid a lapse in meals Payments for lunch and after school care should be dropped off at the office Separate payments are needed for these two programs - this will help us in accurate bookkeeping
8. Medications State and Federal laws have forced some changes to our medication policy Students with inhalers must have written documentation from a doctor kept in the office All OTC and prescription medication must be brought to school by the parent in its original container and be kept in the office The office is not able to change prescription dosages without notice from a physician Cough drops must be given to the teachers Nonprescription dosages will require parent administration of medicine New forms are available in the office and must be filled out for this school year No medication can be dispensed until all proper forms are submitted
9. Handchimes and Jr. Choir Mrs. Schmitzer Handchimes: Students in grades 5-8 should sign up on music door. All upper grade students are in Jr. Choir Miss Rick and Mrs. Schmitzer will be offering piano lessons Speak with them at your convenience

12. Cell Phones Please keep them off and in the lockers at all times 1st Offense – Parent has to pick it up 2nd Offense – Parent has to pick it up and a $10 fine 3rd Offense – Your child has lost the privilege to bring the phone to school

14. Dress Code Modesty is the best policy An extra pair of gym shoes is required to be in the gym On rainy days we hold recess in the gym, students should be prepared for these days as well Neat-Clean-Appropriate
