Muziek is tegenwoordig vooral beschikbaar in MP3 formaat. In de jaren '80 & '90 was dat anders: MP3 was nog niet beschikbaar en computers hadden onvoldoende geheugen, opslag en netwerk capiciteit. In deze presentatie vertelt over oude muziek formaten en laat zien hoe hij recentelijk "oude" muziek bestanden (Commodore Amiga tracker files: MOD, IT & XM) op Linux afgespeeld kreeg.

welcome to the very first tokyo dawn records single­release
­music,
you didn't know you wanted to hear beforehand..
phew, straight from the love­parade,
berlin/germany, to the
wired­party,
mons/belgium.. a shortened version of this track
was actually meant to be mefis' contribution towards the
multichannel­compo
at wired97, but we (mefis, pirat and assign
that is) missed the deadline, which was set very early for
some strange reason, hm.. :/ anyway, just in case you noticed
any tokyo dawn flyers at the loveparade ­yes,
mefis/tdr and
dac/rr were the main organizers of the "lurid sound drift"
(short: lsd) party held in berlin that weekend.. 36000kw
of pa power, 9000mý dance area, 15000mý relaxing zone (most of
which green), good music (liveacts + several good djs) as well
as live piercing, body painting and massages.. "die insel der
kl„nge im meer der natur ­eine
oase der zgellosigkeit"..
so look out for the next lsd parties in berlin (lake
"wuhlheide") ­the
dates will be announced in forthcoming
tokyo dawn releases, so stay tuned..
