Arkios Italy supports ASO SIDERURGICA SPA
in the acquisition of Romania-based Company, CROMSTEEL SA,
active in Chrome Bars production
Arkios Italy has assisted ASO SIDERUGICA in the acquisition of CROMSTEEL Industries S.A., a Romania-based
Company active in production and sale of Chrome Bars and Tubes (cylindrical and telescopic), for Automotive
and Earth-Moving sectors.
ASO Siderurgica, a Brescia-based Producer of Alloy Steel and Special Steel with high added value and part of
ASO Group, has completed 100% acquisition of the Romanian Company Cromsteel Industries from the
entrepreneur Paolo Mennini. The deal is part of the
Strategy of Internationalization, Consolidation and
Diversification of ASO Siderurgica, started with the
Acquisition of Sps Spider Planting Scaligera, Verona-
based Manufacturer of Chrome Bars of High Quality and
Stainless Steel.
Founded in 1999 in Targoviste (Romania), Cromsteel
Industries S.A. is active in the production of Chrome Bars
and it has increased its market share by becoming one of
main European Producers of components for Hydraulic
Cylinders.
ASO Siderurgica, in cooperation with Cromsteel
Industries, is hence developing the business integration
project of two plants which will constitute the Group
Division of Hydraulic Components, by generating
business and commercial synergies. The technical
specialization of each one will allow to maximize the
comprehensive efficiency of the division and therefore to
consolidate the Group’s leadership in the Chrome Bars
sector. Synergies of two business units in 2014 will
enable ASO Group to produce 6,500 tons/month of
Chrome Bars and 1,500 tons/month of Tubes, reaching
an expected comprehensive turnover of 90 Million Euro.
In the acquisition procedure, ASO Group is supported by BNP Paribas as Arrange Advisor, Arkios Italy as
Business Strategy Advisor who also prepared the Project Business Plan, by Studio Legale Mednolia & Partners
as Legal Advisor. Paolo Mennini is assisted by Legance Studio Legale Associato.
The Deal is partially financed by a bank syndicate composed by BNL – BNP Paribas and Unicredit, arranger and
underwriter assisted by NCTM Studio Legale.
