Introduction: The first part of the Crystal of Light takes place on a land called Aire in a country named Centuria.
Not only humans reside in the lands but many other races. To the northeast in the large kingdom of Alfheim are the
Elves. Far to the east are the Gnomes in the kingdom of Nadur Spiorad. Directly to the east are the goblins in a wild
land called Kallikantzaros. To the far northwest are the Orcs of Uruk. They are in perpetual war with the elves where
they share a common border. To the far west are other evil races, the trolls of Trasso, the kobolds of Mairfoit, the
mysterious and malevolent dark elves of Svartalfheim. Gubulu, the land of giants and the giant arachnids of
Achaemeniods. Very far to the west are the mountain dwarves of Abhac
Centuria southern border is the great Southern Sea and the Gulf of Sravana on much of the Eastern coast.
Across the gulf is the Parhian Empire with possibly the finest cavalry in Aire. Parthia is a very large island. It maintains a
large navy that has clashed with the Centurian navy many times. The city state island of Avalon is claimed by both
Centuria and Parthia and is currently aligned with Centuria.
To the northeast is the kingdom of Dacia noted for its large population of halflings. Also to the northeast is
Kallikantzaros with its many Goblin tribes. This land is isolated by large mountain chains to both the north, south and
west. Only to the east can the goblins easily enter Centuria and Dacia. The Centurian army has a legion stationed on
the border as well as another legion in the nearby city of Portus. To the north is the kingdom of Mysia and its large
capital city of Cyzicus. Mysia has long coveted large portions of Northern Centuria. Centuria has several cohorts of
rangers patrolling the borders of this sparsely populated area. Also to the north is the Elvian kingdom of Alfheim.
Centuria and Alfheim share only a small border as Mysia is between the two countries.
To the north is the Akkadian Empire led by Sargon. At one time or another in the last ten years he has fought
wars with Alfheim, Centuria, and Dumnonia on his western border. At present he is busy fighting off the orcs and
barbarians to the north and has a truce with the surrounding countries. To the northwest is the kingdom of Dumnonia
which is allied to Centuria. They meet at a point where the Tula and Ashur rivers merge into one massive river that
flows into the Southern Sea. They are a kingdom of knights and chivalry. Directly to the west across the Tula-Ashur
river is the Urartu Empire. During the Amazonia-Keplian war southern Urartu became a battle ground. They request
help from Centuria to drive the invaders out of their lands. To the southwest is a small nation of Keplian. They are half
human and half horse. A construct of some demented mage in the distant past. Nearly wipeout by the Amazon they are
only a few thousand left in a small city. They are under the protection of Centuria with a half strength legion posted
nearby.
The Republic of Centuria is a large nation with its capital Centuria City being the largest with an estimated
population of nearly one million. To the far eastern border is the city of Portus with a large half-elf population. This city
besides being a major port is also the headquarters for the Ranger cohorts used to patrol the border lands. Most

members of the rangers are half-elven. To the southeast is the second largest city the trading port of Sravana. This city
is the headquarters for much of the Centurian navy.
Three days ride to the west is the port city of Riverton. This is a small city that grew up at the head of the
Rhenus River. This river goes through Centuria City and is important source of water and transportation. At the merger
of the Tula and Ashur rivers is the city Capua. To the east and due north of Centuria City is the city of Pasargadae.
These four cities surround a fertile valley that is the fertile square of Centuria. Enough grain is grown here to feed all of
Centuria with a significant amount available for export. Further to the east is the city of Caere.
Nearly in the physical center of Centuria is the Temple to Deus Unus. It is the religious headquarters for this
popular cult and is becoming a small city of clerics, monks and paladins. It has its own military force the Holy Knights.
This force of Paladins is a legion sized force and was responsible for saving several legions trapped in Parthia a
number of years in the past. The senate has capped the force at a maximum of one thousand knights although with
squires it can be as large as five thousand with the provision that the knights would fall under the command of the
Centurian army during times of war. The priests have also organized several cohorts of monks to protect pilgrims
traveling to various place of worship in the lands.

building outside the IA campus.
