3. ALT-TECH
POLITICIZATION OF TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
▸ Big Tech has politicized the provision of its services,
denying them to right-wing and other “undesirable” users
& companies.
▸ Big Tech is denying DNS Services, DDOS protection, and
billing services to right-wing grassroots sites in advance of
the 2018 election cycle.
▸ Big Tech is attempting to stifle internet speech in order to
influence the composition of Congress and thwart the
Trump agenda.
4. ALT-TECH
OPPRESSION OF NON-LEFTIST VOICES
▸ Big Tech platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Discord have
denied their platforms to those with right-wing politics and the
crackdowns and suspensions are only accelerating. What began with
the Far Right will impact the Trump Right, and already is.
▸ Big Tech companies like Twitter used to proudly declare they were
“free speech utilities” are actively censoring users in the name of
preventing “hate speech”.
▸ Big Tech stifles any pushback to their diversity agenda. James Damore
was fired by Google for his simple attempt at rational debate which
was labeled an “anti-diversity screed” by tech media and activist Social
Justice Warriors.
7. ALT-TECH
CENTRALIZATION CREATES AN ECHO CHAMBER
▸ The geographic centralization of Big Tech in the deeply
Marxist San Francisco Bay Area has created an Echo
Chamber where only fashionable left-wing opinions can
be openly voiced.
▸ The industry that invented remote collaboration tools is
obsessed with control. Big Tech centralizes employees and
fosters cult-like atmospheres of social control.
9. ALT-TECH
THE ALT-TECH IS A BETTER TECH
▸ Alt-Tech is Anti-Marxist, Pro-Freedom, and Pro-America.
▸ Alt-Tech is strongly against foreign outsourcing of technology jobs
and strongly for employing skilled Americans at sustainable wages.
▸ Alt-Tech is inclusionary. Alt-Tech by nature anti-left and anti-Marxist
but its platforms are open to all customers regardless of politics.
Alt-Tech is built on the concepts of accountability, responsibility,
and privacy.
▸ Alt-Tech is not reliant on advertising-based financial models. The
user is not our product. The user is our customer.
10. ALT-TECH
RESTORATION AS REVOLUTION
▸ Alt-Tech promises to restore and revive the old libertarian ethos
of technology as a leveler and a tool for increasing liberty.
▸ Alt-Tech will return the tech industry to the meritocracy of code.
Your identity is not important, what you can build is important.
▸ Alt-Tech cares about skills, not skin color, gender, or fancy
degrees. “Shut up and code” is our motto.
▸ Alt-Tech is against feels and for shipping product. Making great
products trumps meeting diversity quotas.
12. ALT-TECH
TECHNOLOGY AND DECENTRALIZATION
▸ The Alt-Tech will be a decentralized virtual industry, using the remote
collaboration tools invented by the prior tech industry to foster total
decentralization.
▸ Alt-Tech will hire American engineers and developers and encourage them
to work remotely from rural and small-town America. Alt-Tech salaries will
rejuvenate flyover country and help Make (Middle) America Great Again.
A decentralized America-First technology industry can provide excellent
engineering jobs beyond cities and into American communities with affordable
family formation.
▸ Modern remote collaboration tools allow us to avoid geographically
concentrating tech profits to a small corner of the country and forcing tech
employees into paying high rents for small rooms in unlivable crime-ridden
neighborhoods.
14. ALT-TECH
DOMAIN NAME REGISTRAR SERVICES
▸ The Alt-Tech needs Domain Services to be provided by an
ICANN-Accredited Registrar.
▸ Domain services are a critical component of provisioning
any internet service.
▸ GoDaddy, Google, and others are selectively denying
Domain Name Services to customers based on content.
▸ Best approach is to purchase an already accredited
registrar to avoid any ICANN accreditation gamesmanship.
15. ALT-TECH
DDOS PREVENTION SERVICES
▸ DDOS prevention has become another critical component
of any edgy or political internet offering. Without DDOS
protection any controversial offering quickly finds itself
swamped by malicious bad actors.
▸ Top DDOS vendor Cloudflare has been long-committed to
the cause of internet free speech, but recently banned The
Daily Stormer because the leftist CEO “woke up in a bad
mood”.
16. ALT-TECH
CREDIT CARD BILLING SERVICES
▸ Resources are power, so the ability to charge and bill
credit cards is essential to any movement. Bitcoin promises
to democratize this but still lacks the penetration to make
it a viable solution on its own.
▸ PayPal and Stripe have denied services to both individual
fundraisers and crowdfunding platforms. There are no
known viable alternatives that are open to use by right-
wing activists or sympathizers.
17. ALT-TECH
WEB HOSTING SERVICES
▸ Web hosting is the final piece of necessary infrastructure.
That market is generally healthy and competitive.
▸ Hiding webservers behind inexpensive front-end proxies is
easy to do, when the company hosting the proxy is
pressured, only the proxy needs to be moved while our
main infrastructure is hosted by a company unknown to
attackers.
▸ Hosting makes sense as a product for the sake of offering a
complete solution but in itself is not necessary to address.
18. ALT-TECH
ALT-TECH INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDER
▸ We propose the funding and construction of an Alt-Tech
infrastructure provider. This provider will be dedicated to the
cause of Internet Freedom and will offer services to all law-
abiding customers regardless of political views.
▸ DNS services, DDOS protection, and Billing services are the key
offerings, with hosting also available so the company can
provide a full-stack solution to customers.
▸ The Alt-Tech needs a reliable infrastructure provider that will not
censor it. Controlling our own infrastructure is critical to the
survival of pro-right political thought and humor on the internet.
19. ALT-TECH
ALT-TECH OPEN SOURCE STRATEGY
▸ Our Alt-Tech infrastructure provider should develop a suite of
open-source tools for running critical infrastructure, including
DNS services, DDOS prevention, hosting, and billing. We
should also open source all the necessary customer service &
relationship tools we use.
▸ Developing these open source tools serves as insurance in
the event of the loss of the infrastructure company to hostile
buyouts or SJW entryism. Open source tools will allow these
services to be more easily re-provisioned by a new
infrastructure company should that become necessary.
20. ALT-TECH
FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
▸ I am in contact with a banking organization that may be willing to
provide banking services to our proposed Alt-Tech ISO.
▸ Purchasing a registrar, building a DDOS capability, and launching
an ISO using white-labeled software is estimated to cost
approximately $5-10M, depending on the robustness of the
DDOS prevention desired.
▸ At the high end of the funding range it may be possible to use this
platform to compete with Cloudflare for enterprise API customers,
a lucrative market in which the standard Cloudflare offering is
weak. This could subsidize provision of the other services.
22. ALT-TECH
THE GREAT SCHISM IS HAPPENING
▸ Big Tech has chosen to align with the Left, and has chosen
to alienate any of their customers who are not sympathetic
to openly Leftist politics.
▸ This creates an opportunity to rebuild the internet
economy for a non-Leftist audience. The market is
demanding non-Marxist alternatives and those markets
will grow as the Big Tech censorship does.
▸ The first VCs to fund these alternatives will be the ground-
floor profit-makers of the Alt-Tech revolution.
24. ALT-TECH
THE ALT-TECH MOMENT IS NOW
▸ Big Tech has alienated its Republican, conservative, and non-
Leftist customers and the market desires alternatives.
▸ Simultaneously, Big Tech has alienated its own employees. Those
who are not doctrinaire Social Justice Warriors themselves feel
silenced and fear the repeated public witch-hunts for heretics.
Many Big Tech top engineers will leap at the chance to work for
a “normal” company, even accepting less money.
▸ This market opening plus the simultaneous availability of top
engineering talent to Alt-Tech companies is a perfect storm of
opportunity, if we have the vision and the capital to seize it.
26. ALT-TECH
FUND AND INFRASTRUCTURE SYNERGY
▸ Our Alt-Tech infrastructure company provides the reliable
foundation for the rest of the Alt-Tech companies. They
cannot exist without it.
▸ Our Alt-Tech Fund fosters the launch of Alt-Tech platform
companies, which in turn provide customers to the
infrastructure company thus providing it with the critical mass
of business needed to ensure its survival and sustainability.
▸ The market, technical talent, and ideas are waiting for leaders
to seize them. Capital is the missing ingredient.
27. ALT-TECH
EXISTENTIAL CRISIS AS OPPORTUNITY
▸ If the Alt-Tech infrastructure is not built, freedom on the
Internet as we used to know it will no longer exist. Big Tech
companies will further crack down on “fringe” politics, the
definition of which will quickly expand to encompass even
basic mainstream support for President Trump.
▸ This is an attempt to prepare the ground for the 2018
midterms. Grassroots internet right-wingers were reliably
behind Donald Trump in 2016 and Big Tech is not going to
allow it to happen again.
28. ALT-TECH IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR
DEFENDING INTERNET FREEDOM
AND DISRUPTING THE PROGRESSIVE
STRANGLEHOLD ON TECH
