17. Small Apartment – 3 Beds AFTER: The beds are dressed, art hung and space plan improved. BEFORE: The current resident used a single baby blanket for decoration (supplies on floor are ours).

18. AFTER: Small Apartment We changed the space plan, adding a loveseat and small table with lamp where the changing table used to be. We added linens & charm to create a warm, cozy feel.

19. A TOTAL TRANSFORMATION The current occupant of this room is a new mother whose baby is still in the hospital. Imagine how she felt when she returned!

20. Large Apartment: 7 Beds BEFORE: Functional, but cold and uninviting. AFTER: Warm, colorful and homey. Austere environments do little to promote hope and combat the depression that often comes with homelessness.

22. AFTER: Large Apartment Mom now has a corner of her own out of foot traffic. AFTER: A new space plan andfurniture completely changes this space.

23. DETAILS PROBLEM: What to do with a dresser that’s missing a drawer? ANSWER: Pair them together with kid-friendly accessories& display toys and art supplies in the open drawers!

24. DETAILS We used stuff animals, artwork and color to create a happy space.

CHANGE FOR GOOD Leslie Lehn, ASP®, Anita, Cheryl Faust-Wilson, ASP® ANITA, a worker at Broadview (center), began to cry when she saw this room. “I’ve been in here so many times, but I never thought it could look like this. I just can’t get over how much happier and welcoming it feels,” she said.
