11. WITH PRATHYAKSHA TO PAROKSHA
me vio hacerlo.
YOU are all waitingto hear fromMe about the journeyto Badri and what happened there. These people went to Badri and returned
bhadram (safe)! That is the story in a nutshell. For dangerlurkedall thetime fromfire, water, wind, sky andearth---all the five elements
in fact. Every moment these people felt the Lord's Grace; forabout 150persons,mostlyoldandin indifferent health, to accomplish this
Yatra (pilgrimage) without a single moment of even headache was due to Swami. Swami also went to Badri because the Netralingam,
which is the central source of Holiness there, hadtobe revivedwith spiritual efficacy. Sankaracharya brought fivelingams from Kailash
andinstalledone each at Dwarka, Shringeri, Badri andPuri andthe fifth he placedat Chidambaram. Of these, the one at Badri has the
Narayana amsam (orientation) andthat hadto be consecratedafresh. That was My task and these people who came with Me saw Me
doing it.
El ateísmo no está arrasando esta tierra
Atheism is not rampant in this land
I hadto accomplish it this year itself, forthis is the 35th year after this Avatar tookbirthandthis is also the year whenthe 35th successor
to the SankaracharyaPeeta is at Shringeri. This year is therefore important for charging the battery of spiritual wealth, known as
Badharikaashrama. The Nethra Lingam, laid by Sankaracharya underneath the idol there, was "taken" out by Me and Abhisheka
(consecrationby pouringholywater) was done with Gangotri water which I fetched by a wave of the hand. It was worshipped with
golden Bilva leaves andThumme flowers, bothcreatedby Me on the spot, andsent back to its original place. TheLingam was placedon a
Golden Lotus, with three layers ofpetals, eachhavingtwo smallerlayers of 16smallerpetals---the entire Kamala(lotus) representingthe
Hridhaya (heart) where the Lingam has to be installed for worship.

When yousee the enthusiasm ofthe pilgrims who trudgedalongthe Badri Roadin thousands, youwill be silencedwith wonder; you will
no more lament that atheism has becomerampant in this land. With faith as their only support, people from all parts of India, men,
women andchildren, oldandyoung, stalwarts anddecrepits, richandpoor, moveon towards. Badri. There are many things, which you
can learn from their steady march towards the goal; that is the advantage in going on pilgrimage. You can develop your Bhakti
(devotion), your Shraddha (faith) andyour Sadhana(spiritual discipline)when kindredaspirants surroundyou. That is the greatness of
that Narayana Moorthy at Badri.
Yes; the spiritual change must come about. That is the reasonforthe belief, "a mere sight of the pilgrim who has returned from Badri
gives much merit."Of course, forundergoingthat change youneednot go so far; you have Badhrinaaraayana here itself! Badri is the
place where the Nara-Narayana bondis establishedandcommemorated. That youcan establish here itself. Ifyouget ridof delusion, you
become Narayana (God); if youare sunk in delusion, youcontinue to be Nara (human); that is all. There is no place towhich I have not
gone; there is no place without Me therein. So, theBhaktas who came withMe were journeyingto theAbstract with the Concrete, with
the Prathyaksha to the Paroksha! That was their good fortune.
pilgrims, should maintain silence during Yatra
Voy a
Those of youwho were here andcouldnot join neednot feel sorry, for all these days youwere rethinkingof Swami andSwami alone and
so your Sadhana was greater. Afterall, pilgrimage is for softeningthe heart, wideningthe outlook, expandingthe circle ofsympathy; not
for collectingcurios orpictures or Prasadam packets oridols andimages. It is more a matterforthe nethra (eye) than for the paathra
(vessel). Pilgrimages shouldbe as silent as the eyelids droppingonthe eye.Why shouldpeople wagtheir tongues andshout and wrangle
when they are God-wardbound? Truly, all Kshethras (places of pilgrimage) andall Yaathras (pilgrimages) are in yourself. You are ever
on a pilgrimage, though youmight not have taken a step forward towards Badri or Kaashi. Do not feel sad that you did not get the
AbhishekaTheertha (holywaterusedfor consecratingthe idol) fromGangothri, whichwas used, for the Nethra Lingam. I cansee that all
of youare desirous of gettingit ever since youheardfromothers about the event at Badri. I shall get you the Gangotri Theertham here
itself andgive you, do not worry.People maysay that pilgrimages are a waste of time andmoney; but let Me tell you that it is the best
way of spendingtime andmoney, providedonehas real devotion. Bhakti is no sign of weakness; it is a sign of courage, of wisdom, of
discrimination; it alone cangive soukhyam andShanthi (happiness andpeace). Everyone has one day or othertofall in line withyou, for
every one is terribly anxious toget these two. They try, in theirignorance orexcitement, various other remedies, but this remedy alone
can cure them.

Tu conciencia es una lámpara. Vierte en ella el aceite de la Gracia;
Absoluta). Entonces Tu veras la Luz y Tu proyectaras la Luz. –
Sathya Sai Baba
Your consciousness is a lamp. Pour into it the oil of Grace; trim the wick of self-control. Keep in
positionthe chimney ofNamasmarana,so that the gusts of Joy and Grief may not put out the flame.
Light the lamp witha Mahaa-vaakya(Vedhic dictum) like "Aham Brahmaasmi" (I am the Absolute
Reality). Then you will see Light and you will shed Light. - Sathya Sai Baba
