8051 FAMILY              The 8051 is an 8-bit processor
                             The CPU can work on only 8 bits of data at a

     8051
Microcontroller          The 8051 had

                             4K bytes of on-chip ROM

                             Four I/O ports, each 8 bits wide
                             6 interrupt sources
                     The 8051 became widely popular after
