● Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating
deployment, scaling, and management of containerized
applications.
● The name Kubernetes originates from Greek, meaning
“helmsman” or “pilot”
● K8s is an abbreviation derived by replacing the 8 letters
“ubernete” with 8.
