million MWh of energy annually.

energy efficient than the median of the surveyed U.S. enterprise
data centers. More than two-thirds of this advantage is
attributable to the combination of a more energy efficient
server population and much higher server utilization. AWS
data centers are also more energy efficient than enterprise
sites due to comprehensive efficiency programs that touch
every facet of the facility.
When we factor in the carbon intensity of consumed electricity
and renewable energy purchases, which reduce associated carbon
emissions, AWS performs the same task with an 88% lower
carbon footprint.”

consisting of 16-20 HD cameras per stadium, allows them to collect 3.5 million data points in every single match.
DFL reached out to AWS to unleash the full potential of this data and innovate the football viewing experience. With
an estimated reach of 3B+ fans, soccer is the world's most popular sport across the globe. This extraordinary
popularity has the potential to drive AWS awareness globally.
The Solution: We have closed a league-level deal that will establish AWS and DFL as public partners. Starting Jan
13th, DFL will be a public customer reference with AWS as exclusive provider of Cloud Computing, AI/ML and
Business Analytics. The parties have jointly developed a product roadmap with multiple technically complex
projects such as (1) new AI/ML-enabled “Powered-by-AWS” statistics, that will be integrated in DFL’s global broadcast
feed as well as their broader media assets, (2) a personalized “MyBundesliga” fan experience and (3) an AI/ML-
enriched media archive. Further projects have already been identified and will be evaluated throughout the course
of the partnership.
