Home screen

• Intuitive pull-down search helps users
locate content quickly
• Results are the same as performing the
search from desktop
• Built-in viewer for the most popular
content types on iOS devices
• Handles Office documents, PDFs, images, and text
files
• Basic options to send to another app, scroll through
pages, pinch to zoom, etc.
• Option to select a default app to open
with for Android devices, to allow
maximum flexibility
Finding and viewing content

• Actions for individual items can be
accessed via inline swipe
• Folder-level actions are accessed
by the “…” menu in the top right
• Press and hold will activate multi-
select mode
• Available actions are based on
user’s Content Server permissions
to the object

• Documents can be uploaded into a
container via the Upload option in
the functions menu
• User can choose from selecting an
existing photo, taking a new photo
(iOS only), or selecting a file from
their device (Files app on iOS,
device storage on Android)
Adding content

• When using another app (such as
Word), you can send a file into
Content Server Mobile
• Once Content Server Mobile is
selected as the target, you’ll log in,
and navigate to the folder you wish
to upload into
• Only containers you can upload
into are shown in this browse view,
to simplify finding the location you
need
Sharing from other apps

• Content Server category and
attribute information can be
accessed via the Properties
page
• All supported attribute types
can be viewed, and if the user
has permissions, can also be
edited
• Mandatory attribute information
can be entered when uploading
a document as well
Metadata viewing and edit

• If a user receives a Smart View link in
an email, it can open in Content Server
Mobile
• For Android devices, a regular HTTP
link will redirect into the app
• For iOS, admins must enable a setting
in the admin pages to generate a
special iOS-formatted link
• Once a user signs in, they will be
taken to an Overview page for the
document
Emailed links

• Documents can be saved to a
secure area of the app for viewing
offline
• Offline documents will open with an
app on the device
• Administrators can remotely wipe
the offline storage of a user if a
device is lost or stolen
Offline viewing

• Supported workflows will show up in a
user’s Assignments list
• Users can view workflow metadata,
review attachments, and then process
the workflow (with the option of adding
comments)
• Once a workflow is
approved/rejected/sent on, it disappears
from the user’s Assignments list
