• The Regional Development of Educational Services in Päijät-Häme has
been operating in the area since 2006.
• The starting point is the development of the quality and productivity
of public education services aimed primarily at the inhabitants.
• The key is to share good operating practices, identify and implement
changes and utilize provincial assessment feedback.
• The co-operation network consists of 10 municipalities in Päijät-
Häme.
• Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, Iitti, Kärkölä, Lahti, Orimattila, Padasjoki and
Sysmä
• Päijät-Häme is a region in Southern Finland with a population of
approximately 206,000.

• Digital open badges have been in use since 2013.
• Organizations, academies, companies, public administrations and
increasing amount of others are issuing digital open badges.
• Open Badge Factory is the most used service for creating and issuing
digital open badges.
• Open Badge Passport is the most used service for earner to share
received digital open badges.
• The Badge Finland network brings Open Badge operators together.
The Regional Development for Educational Services in Päijät-Häme
realeased Transversal Competencies Open Badges using OBF and
joined Badge Finland network in 2021.
• City of Lahti launced Digital skills Open Badges for teaching staff

The Regional Development for Educational Services in Päijät-Häme • The Regional Development of Educational Services in Päijät-Häme has been operating in the area since 2006. • The starting point is the development of the quality and productivity of public education services aimed primarily at the inhabitants. • The key is to share good operating practices, identify and implement changes and utilize provincial assessment feedback. • The co-operation network consists of 10 municipalities in Päijät- Häme. • Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, Iitti, Kärkölä, Lahti, Orimattila, Padasjoki and Sysmä • Päijät-Häme is a region in Southern Finland with a population of approximately 206,000. • The coordination has been placed in the service area of ​​the city of Lahti by a joint decision of the municipalities. Digital Open Badges in Finland • Digital open badges have been in use since 2013. • Organizations, academies, companies, public administrations and increasing amount of others are issuing digital open badges. • Open Badge Factory is the most used service for creating and issuing digital open badges. • Open Badge Passport is the most used service for earner to share received digital open badges. • The Badge Finland network brings Open Badge operators together. The Regional Development for Educational Services in Päijät-Häme realeased Transversal Competencies Open Badges using OBF and joined Badge Finland network in 2021. • City of Lahti launced Digital skills Open Badges for teaching staff 2020

  • 17. These would be great, not only to support teachers ’own thinking, but also to develop their own school and make transversal competences skills visible. Both, the PC and mobile, versions seem to work well! As a whole, The Transversal Competences material package was liked and especially the pedagogical idea. It is good that the basic level badges are automatically earned and they are also inspiring. All in all, these are absolutely lovely and will most definitely make teachers reflect on their own work.
