1. Topic: Free-time activities
Main aims:
Learners will be able to use vocabulary about leisure activities.
Learners will practice their speaking skills in the context of guessing the meaning of
vocabulary through describing free-time activities.
Learners will be able to practice their listening and writing skills.
Supplementary aims:
Learners will have reviewed some common free-time activities and hobbies in the
context of brainstorming.
Learners will practice their writing skills integrated into listening.
Learners will be able to talk about activities which they like without naming them.
Personal aims:
I will give clear instructions and check understanding of the task.
I will create interest in the topic of free-time activities using the brainstorming technique.
I will provide students with controlled and semi-controlled practice in speaking, listening
and free practice in writing in the context of using the present simple tense.
Materials: Power Point Presentation, flashcards, handouts, a record of the talking about
children’s hobbies.
