A template to help make learning to identify waste fun.

1. Waste Identification
Tic-Tac-Toe Directions:
1. Decide who will be X’s & O’s.
2. X identifies an example of
waste in the category where
Defect: Waiting: Overproduction: they would like to play, writes
the example in the space, and
adds an X to that space.
3. O does the same as above
(but adds an O).
4. Play continues with X & O
alternating turns until there is a
winner or all spaces are filled.
Transportation: Overproduction: Over-processing:
How one wins:
Fill 3 spaces in a row.
Variations:
Play in a specific department.
Inventory: Motion: Defect: Play on a Gemba walk.
Play with a process map.
Play in training.
Play with teams.
Play a tournament.
