is established in University with only its manager

● Core Team Gathered:
– Software Management (Ömür)
– Hardware Management (Cem)
– Content Management (Emre)
– Training Management (Özge)
– Infrastructure Management (Selçuk)
● Met with 4 universities from Turkey who uses different LMS
softwares
● Chose and install SAKAI on a single 8GB server
5. 2011 Q3
● University wide orientation and promotion of research
center to faculties and institutes.
● First program begins with 300 students and 20 lecturers. It
was on-line and synchronous with BigBlueButton
6. 2012 Q2
● Distance Education Implementation and Research Center
has been moved to its own building.
7. 2012 Q2
● Second program created (Worker Health Nursery)
● Custom Exam and Question Pool Project with Medicine Faculty
started
● On-line Exam Project with Ministry of National Education started
● Center had another administrative staff assistant manager
● Another recruitments for Infrastructure Management and Call Center
● Upgrade to two 16GB Dual CPU Xeons with virtualization (XEN)

● Students increased by 500
● 8 Course from different programs across University started
to use LMS
9. 2013 Q1
● Signed contract with another University (Gediz University)
to complete their distance education infrastructure and
training
● Upgrade to four 16GB Dual CPU Xeons with Load
Balancing
10. 2013 Q2
● A course named “Communication in Promotion” started as
a distance learning course
● A Staff recruitment made for administrative staff position
11. 2013 Q3
● “Computer Programming” Undergraduate program started
with 60 students
● “Quality Management” Graduate program started with 13
students
● “İlahiyat” program quota increased to 1000
● 13 common compulsory courses across University been
converted to distance learning courses with 700 students
● Upgrade to eight 32GB Dual CPU Xeons with Load
Balancing

● Custom Exam and Question Pool Project with Medicine
Faculty completed
● Medicine Faculty started using online exams

● Another recruitments for documentary creation and
content management positions.
