Grammar Review
representam posse. São eles:

                                        My (meu)
                                        Your (seu)
                                        His (dele)
                                        Her (dela)
Its (dele ou dela – objeto ou animal)
                                        Our (nosso)
                                   Your (seus – plural)
                                       Their (deles)

                                        I - My
                                     You – Your
                                       He – His
                                      She – Her
                                        It – Its
                                      We – Our
                                     You – Your
                                     They – Their

mulher” eu não seguirei a ordem “Woman pretty” e sim “Pretty Woman”.

sempre virão antes do substantivo.

Listen and repeat
My car is big. (meu carro é grande).

Your house is beautiful. (Sua casa é bonita).

His father is tall. (O pai dele é alto).

Her mother is short. (A mãe dela é baixa).

Its food isn’t delicious.

Our school is very far. (Nossa escola é muito longe).

Your parents are cool. (Seus pais são maneiros).

Their friends are boring. (Os amigos deles são chatos).

Algo muito importante é o Its.
escreverem. O Its geralmente é ERRONEAMENTE escrito como It’s.
Lembrando que, It’s (com apóstrofo, -> ‘) significa ele/ela é/está. Its (sem
referindo a um animal), eu direi: Its mother is pretty.

Preferences
Let’s learn how to talk about preferences using the verbs like, prefer and want.
In English, two verbs can never be together (there are exceptions but I will talk about them
further). They fight. Verbs in English are not friendly. Two verbs must be separated by “to”.

Eles brigam. Verbos em inglês não são amigáveis. Por isso, quando houver dois verbos
consecutivos, eles deverão ser separados por to.
For example:
                                   I would like to study.
                                        (Eu gostaria de estudar)

Like is a verb and so is study. Therefore, to should be between them.
Like é um verbo e study também. Portanto, to deverá ficar entre eles.

                                      I prefer to work.
                                          (eu prefiro trabalhar)

Prefer is a verb and so is work. Therefore, to should be between them.
Prefer é um verbo e work também. Portanto, to deverá ficar entre eles.

I want to be a vet.
                                      (eu quero ser um veterinário)

Writing
Make questions inserting “to” in the correct places and answer them.
Faça perguntas inserindo “to” nos lugares corretos e responda-as.

                                  Example: Do you prefer work?
                                     Do you prefer to work?
                                     Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

    01) Do you like study?
    02) Does your mother like watch TV?
    03) Would your father like play the piano?
    04) Would you prefer take a shower?
    05) Does she like work?
    06) Would he like play videogame?

Titles
In English there are four different titles which you can use when you refer to people.
They are:
pessoas.
Eles são:
Mr. – Used for men (no mattering if single or divorced)– usado para homens
                                     (casado ou solteiro).
Miss – Used for women who are single – Usado para mulheres solteiras.
Mrs. – Used when the woman is married – Usado quando a mulher for casada.
Ms. - Used when you don’t know whether the woman is single or married. – Usado

For example:
You don’t say Teacher Daniel, can you help me? No. That’s impolite. You have to use the right
title. Mr. Daniel Oliveira, can you help me? Or Mr. Oliveira, can you help me?
Você não diz Teacher Daniel, can you help me? (Você pode me ajudar?) Não. Isso não mostra
sinal de boas maneiras. No inglês, você deve usar um title. Mr. Daniel Oliveira, can you help
me? ou Mr. Oliveira, can you help me?”.

NUNCA
apenas com o primeiro.
Portanto, a frase: Mr. Daniel, can you help me? Está errada. O correto seria: Mr. Daniel
Oliveira ou apenas Mr. Oliveira.
Miss Sarah Parker or Miss Parker - Mrs. Jessica Campbell or Mrs. Campbell - Ms. Rita Keeter or
Ms. Keeter.

São eles: My (meu) Your (seu) His (dele) Her (dela) Its (dele ou dela – objeto ou animal) Our (nosso) Your (seus – plural) Their (deles) I - My You – Your He – His She – Her It – Its We – Our You – Your They – Their Em inglês, em todos os casos, adjetivos (aquilo que dá qualidade) vêm sempre antes de substantivos. Listen and repeat
  • 4. O Its geralmente é ERRONEAMENTE escrito como It’s. Portanto, se eu quiser dizer, por exemplo, “a mãe dele é bonita” (me referindo a um animal), eu direi: Its mother is pretty. Therefore, to should be between them. Prefer é um verbo e work também. Portanto, to deverá ficar entre eles. I want to be a vet. Mrs. – Used when the woman is married – Usado quando a mulher for casada. Ms. - Used when you don’t know whether the woman is single or married. For example: You don’t say Teacher Daniel, can you help me? No. That’s impolite. You have to use the right title. Mr. Daniel Oliveira, can you help me? Or Mr. Oliveira, can you help me? Você não diz Teacher Daniel, can you help me? (Você pode me ajudar?) Não. Isso não mostra sinal de boas maneiras. No inglês, você deve usar um title. Mr. Daniel Oliveira, can you help me? ou Mr. Oliveira, can you help me?”. Portanto, a frase: Mr. Daniel, can you help me? Está errada.
