What is Case Management?

A “case” is any project, transaction, service or response that is
“opened” and “closed” over a period of time to achieve
resolution of a problem, claim, request, proposal, development or
other complex activity. It is likely to involve multiple persons
inside and outside of the organization, with varying relationships
to each other, as well as multiple documents and messages.

• Native REST API for CRUD functions in the repository
• All Cases can be read/updated using a JSON representation (making it easy to
consume from any language, including browser-based JS)
• Object representation customized using Adapters
• Content Automation: high-level API to define business logic by
assembling Operations
• An Operation is a unit of business logic doing some work (fetch document,
change property, snapshot, move, etc.)
• Operations can be contributed by plugins (in addition to the 150+ built-in)
• Operations are grouped into Automation Chains for creating complex logic
• Content Automation operations and chains are offered as part of the
REST API, forming an extensible API to the platform
• Any feature of the UI is available through the REST API
