loves to play soccer and
horse around with his
buddies. However, unlike
most kids, Ben was born with
tetralogy of Fallot, a
congenital heart defect that
required surgery soon after
birth.
7. Pathos--Emotional Argumentation:
Framing [G]overnment health care will not
reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to
pay the cost. And who will suffer the
most when they ration care? The sick,
the elderly, and the disabled, of course.
The America I know and love is not
one in which my parents or my baby
with Down Syndrome will have to
stand in front of Obama's "death
panel" so his bureaucrats can decide,
based on a subjective judgment of their
"level of productivity in society,"
whether they are worthy of health
care. Such a system is downright evil.

In the past few days, the health
insurance industry's outrageous
greed has been nakedly exposed.
After pretending for months to
cooperate with the Obama
administration and Democrats to
secure a reasonable health reform
bill, the industry's CEOs and
lobbyists on Sunday double-
crossed their one-time political
allies by openly attacking a
compromise bill.
9. Ethos--Credibility Argumentation
The reason these doctors
are here is because they
have seen firsthand
what's broken about our
health care system.
They've seen what
happens when their
patients can't get the care
they need because some
insurance company has
decided to drop their
coverage or water it
down.
