This presentation is based on my individual research on Facebook along with my friends
Some key insights came from ‘Karvachauth’ 2010 – A popular Indian festival for married
women and how it was shared on Facebook.
Karvachauth on Facebook 26th October 2010
A age old traditional festival where women fast
throughout the day (No food, No water) and pray
for the well being of their husband.
And in the evening they open their fast by
Looking at the moon and completing prayers.
Now let’s see how women shared this Day on
Facebook!

They shared the ‘wait’ and ‘anticipation’
And celebrated when the moon showed up…
